Uhmm good games i have for the ps3. Dead space is brilliant, its a survival horror game, its quite intense and scary but i really would recomend it. Metal gear solid 4 aswell of course, thats a must play. Uncharted it is also fairly decent, i think ud be happy with any of the above.

I have cross edge and it is okay so far. Get Enchanted Arms. I actually foumd that to be a very good rpg and it is cheap! Very fulfilling, imo.

I'd recommend Valkyria Chronicles and Eternal Sonata. Both are vastly different RPGs, but they both have compelling and interesting stories, as well as brilliantly unique battle systems ^^

Valkyria Chronicles in particular is excellent, it's a brilliant little game.

Depends what you want. If you want a FPS then CoD4 is the only game you should be considering getting, it's so far better than any of the others. There's InFamous too, which is quite good from what I've played so far, it all depends on your taste, However there aren't many RPGs for the PS3 so far.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a fantastic game in my opinion. ;)
Mod Edit: Can you please say why it is a fantastic game etc in future please =]

I swear I will rep you if you buy Little Big Planet and we could all play it together. Quite a few FFF'ers play it already so it will be a proper laugh.

Other than that, CoD4 is great, but I think you already have that on the Xbox.

Uncharted is a FANTASTIC game as well, really good story and fantastic characters too. I really enjoyed that game, even more so than the Tomb Raiders tbh (though it lacks the eye candy).

If you want to download games on PSN...
Wipeout HD = ok, but there are only a few tracks, but it is fun for a while.

Tekken Dark Ressurection = pretty good, but with Tekken 6 on its way I'm not sure if you want to spend your money on this.

Super Rub a Dub = FANTASTIC! Get it now! Did you ever get bored in your bath tub and play with rubber ducks? Well now a game allows you to do that at the same time as epic music and avoiding wind-up sharks!

Super Stardust HD = Classic gameplay. Really great. A bit like Geometry Wars, but it is 3D, based on different planets and has epic music.

EDIT (forgot this game):

PAIN = If you want to fire people out of catapults into the city / theme parks / movie studios / alien spaceships / high school gym halls and watch them break their necks as they hit a pirate ship knocking them into a man dressed like a dinosaur, being sucked up a vent and fired out in time to hit the logflume and fall down in the logflume, then fall out and get hit by a few go-kart racers knocking you into the air where you hit an Uncle Sam on stilts and a gopher, when you hit an explosion and go flying into the air again, get kicked by Brock Lee's Feet of Fury ride and end up hittin your head on the pirate ship again which knocks you into a wall where you will stay, then this game is for you. Honestly it is crazy.
You can even download David Hasselhoff and fire him out of cannons and cause him PAIN!

Let's break it down.

Street Fighter IV - easy enough to pick up and play, but so much deeper control hidden within the game. Seriously, a MUST GRAB fighting game for the PS3.

Killzone 2 - Everyone will tell you CoD4 for the PS3, I must disagree. Killzone 2 is BY FAR the best shooting/online experience you can possibly get for the PS3. Great story, terrific graphics, and amazing gameplay. The online is even more compelling, a definite must pickup.

Metal Gear Solid 4 - Great story, visuals, and overall, a gameplay experience you truly can't afford to pass up. It's seriously one of the best stealth action games I've played in years, and let me tell you, it's crazy. The online play is a bit messy, but once you get used to it, it's like Counter Strike on crack :D

UFC: Undisputed 2009 - Great technical fighting game. When I say technical, I really mean technical. You can't just pick this game up and mash buttons, this truly requires precise controller movement and attacks. I seriously recommend this game to you.

Resident Evil 5 - I don't know if you'll like it, considering to some it's an aquired taste, but it's a great 3rd person survial-horror shooter. Though in my opinion Dead Space is truly the most "scary", the nostalgia, the storyline, and the great cinematics would keep you coming back.

Little Big Planet - I don't personally have this game (yet), but from what I've played, I must say grab it and go! Creating your own levels, endless possibilities to what you can do, it's truly an innovative game on it's own that definitely worth the $60.

Well thanks for all the reccomendations so far. Well I made up my mind and Im deciding to get Cross Edge and LbP but I do not know when. Pffft Metal Gear Solid 4 is a game I forgot to list. I beat it at my friends house. Cod4 I have on xbox and its awesome. I guess ill get these 2 for now but ill have to wait and see.

I hated Cross Edge. It really killed tactical RPG's for me to a whole new low. Like, seriously, hated it. Now Little Big Planet I just bought today, along with inFamous, and OMG IS IT AWESOME. So good call on Little Big Planet, but please get a different RPG asides from Cross Edge that won't waste your cash >_>

I agree with Insanctified, I thought Killzone 2 was much better than CoD4 in terms of online, although I thought CoD4's story was better. Also, Uncharted was a brilliant game in my opinion with fantastic story and character depth, and you can get hooked to the characters. CoD5 is also really good I think, I like the story more that CoD4 but I find the whole Russia thing interesting anyway. MGS4 is an amazing game I think, and you can get it cheap now since it's gone platinum.

Or you could wait for the newer games to be released which look amazing.
- Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves
- The Last Guardian (produced by Team Ico. Amazing. Period)
- Final Fantasy XIV
- God of War III
- Assassins Creed II (multiplatform)
- Heavy Rain
- White Knight Chronicles
- Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

So there's a lot of fantastic games that you can currently buy, or save up for the ones listed above! :awesome:

- The Last Guardian (produced by Team Ico. Amazing. Period)

Oh my god!

I had no idea another Ico series game was announced! That is fantastic news!

I just saw the trailer for that when I searched for it and it looks great. The creature is like a cross between a griffin and the Neverending Story dragon. :D
And the graphics of that creature are stunning.

I absolutely love the beauty of these games and I'll definately be getting this! So fresh and original. :awesome:

Also, a game for you Milfy...
Red Faction: Guerilla! It's pretty awesome, though if you are expecting a FPS, then you'll be dissapointed.
Instead it is more like Grand Theft Auto on Mars. And you can destroy pretty much any building that stands. It's quite fun, though the online service is pretty crap from what I've experienced so far but hopefully it will improve.

I'm surprised neither were mentioned, but Grand Theft Auto 4 and Unreal Tournament 3 are also a ton of fun. Both of these are multi-platform, but if you don't have either of them, then these may be a couple of ideas. Another game that is PS3 exclusive would be the oldie but goodie, Heavenly Sword. Unfortunately I'm not always in the loop as far as newer games go, but hopefully those games will give you some inspiration.

I already pre-ordered Final Fantasy XIV, XIII, White Knight Chronicles & Heavy Rain. I'm dedicated enough to pre-order a year in advance. ESPECIALLY White Knight Chronicles. If you haven't seen the trailers for those just google it up. It looks insanely good.

The Elder Scrolls : Oblivion. I know someone already posted it, but they didn't explain why. This game will keep you entertained for a long time. The game is so vast and the graphics are amazing. You could play the game for a year and not even touch the main quest. I have the 360 version, but I'm sure it's the same on the PS3. The visuals are amazing, the combat system is very unique, and you can really do anything you want, within the limits of a fantasy medieval RPG. Trust me, it is a very good game.
