This is one question I would love to be answered.
If we humans have evolved from the ape, why are the apes still here?
if we've evolved from them that should make the ape extinct don't you think?

What are your thoughts?

thats actually a really good point. in most cases where a species has evolved, the un-evolved species die out. so it would make sense for apes to have died out if we actually did evolve from them

I'd miss the ape exhibits at the zoo. Without the monkey zone, zoos all over the world would see drastic drops in attendance (screw the other animals). With no one around to buy their overpriced trinkets from the gift shop, the zoos wouldn't have enough funds to function, forcing them to shut down.

Enraged children will riot and become uncontrollable, angry at the fact that they have to go to the circus instead of the zoo to see exotic animals. After all, there's no point in seeing the animals if you have to endure the sight of all those creepy clowns. Eventually, the children will wipe out the adult population during a long and bloody war. Don't ask how. They just will.

All because every stinkin' ape evolved into a human being. We gotta leave a few behind for everyone's well-being. At least that's what I was taught.

we have trained apes for who knows how long, yes the apes are able to learn and be smarter but thats it! i mean an ape slowly changing into a human, i dont see it happening even in a million years. so evolution can suck it

Actually Humans didn't evolve from Apes we just share the same ancestor as the modern African Apes. It is theorized that this ancestor existed 5 to 8 million years ago but it diverged into two separate lineages one which evolved into Apes the other which evolved into humans ancestors called hominids.

However this theory has come under some speculation after the discovery of the Mungo Man, But yeah it would explain why apes aren't humans (although I prefer Von's explanation :monster: )

I still can't believe some people to this day still think we've come directly from Apes. If it was clearly researched , people to this day would know better. I know the theory is still being debated but still...

Mungo Man sounds awesome.

It's Darwin's fault, in 'The descent of Man' he said that humans evolved from apes which isn't true like sashman said. We have common ancestors, but we decided we'd like to have big brains and live in houses, monkeys went the other way and decided to live in zoos.
