How would you feel if SE decided to make a FF game for the PS2 where all the characters were sprites? would you welcome the idea?

I personally think it would be a great idea.
 
I think it would be a cute game, but I wouldn't take it seriously. :monster:

We all know they'd make the antagonists normal sized characters...
 
Lol! At first when you said where all the characters were sprites I thought you meant the drink Sprite >< lol. But yeah, I think it would be a pretty cool idea. And even better if it was for the PS2 as you said!
 
Sprites? Lol that would be weird, but interesting, I guess. As long as they have a good storyline and unique set of characters, then no problem with me. I'm always up for a change.
 
I also think it would really only be fun if they were all sprites in a strategy based RPG like Final Fantasy Tactics. :monster:
 
Yeah, that would be the best genre for a game with sprites. :p
It'd have to make up with engrossing storyline, a multitude of sidequests, and really great (possibly FFVI numerous) characters as well, just to balance out the appeal.
 
I actually am not sure how I would take that. I would say that these type of games should stick to being on PSP or DS.

If it were on PS2, I would get it. Normally those are good games anyways.
 
2D sprites on PS2? if yes, as long as it's better with FF1 and 2 20th anniv. edition I'd definitely welcome that. It's like we'll see how they'll improve in continuing the trend of the original series(FF1-6). that's be cute! ^_^
 
I was looking at the sprites you get for Sky Pirate's Den in FFXII and thought it would be a good idea to make a whole game like it. Especially considering how good the PS's graphics would make it look.

I would definitely buy a game like that. Sprite characters are no matter; in fact, I find them cute. ^.^
I'd prefer a game to pay more attention to the story, rather than to overpowered graphics. XD

hey those are cute sprites especially the YRP. love it! ^_^ it'd be nice to see how they could be recreated into 2D such like the SNES era. it reminds me of secret of mana and chrono trigger. gameplay and graphics are equally matched or more on gameplay which just makes them very ideal games.
 
i don't think i'd be a big fan of that. i mean, isn't it on the ps2 so it can utilize its more advanced graphics? im not the type that doesnt like a game because it has bad graphics, but i'd prefer more realistic like FFX and FFXII

Hmm... maybe not for the PS2 but maybe the GBA?
 
a really cute sprites mixed with 3D environment and awesome effects with PS2 quality. now wouldn't that be great?

And a game with sprites would be the perfect opportunity for that ^_^

Frankly, if I heard they were going to make a sprite game I'd go "ZOMG SPRITES THEY R GOING OLDSCHOOL YAY!" I'd love it. I don't like the cuteness of sprites so much as I like the nostalgia.
 
Id give it a chance, would be an interesting genre.
There are some RPGs on the PS2 that are spirtes and they are good fun to play. Plus they do look cute ^^
 
Sprites... I don’t know, I really wouldn't be all that thrilled about it. I tend to like games with normal proportioned characters. I’d still play it, but I honestly can't say whether I’d enjoy it or not...
