Help How to defeat the Boss on the shoopuff ride scene

Dear aicee,
How do i defeat the boss on the shoopuff ride? its really hard
especially when it drops its depht charges im pretty new to this game
please help!

so anyway yeah i can help you
defeating this boss is pretty easy as it looks
all you need is haste <on tidus>
and slots <wakka's overdrive>
<<note: the brotherhood <tidus sword> is not a good weapon to use. before you ride the shoopuff make sure you are able to buy at oaka's store a sword with lightning strike>>

put haste on tidus and wakka so that you can defeat this boss easily
ok so now here's what you do
when youve put the haste on both of them keep attacking after 3-4 turns
its depht charges will start to ready itself at that moment use cheer on wakka
so the first depht charges will fall on you <IKR>
so use potions
after that wakka's overdrive gauge is full remember
that this boss is vunreable to lightning
so get the slots to lightning <the yellow sign>
after that keep on attacking
since you still have haste it will be pretty easy
once youve attacked it many times the extractor cools down when its hp is
1300 its easier to defeat.

timeline: this fight can take 4 minutes
FFX TIP: remember to update your sphere grid the fight of this game gets harder from this point

Pretty much a given. You also want to save your overdrives for when the Boss moves upwards to do Depth Charges, so you can bring it back down before it drops them for 150 damage.

Well,

What I did was -

Just before the shoopuff scene, if you go back into the roads, where you encounter a lot of basilisk, I found out that farming those SOBs will give you a lot of EXP so you can level up your HP and ATK stats.

I only spent 30 minutes farming them, and the EXP was nice to get my Tidus and Wakka up to to 3000HP each, so I had no problem kicking that stupid machine's butt.

With haste on both your party members, you should be able to get enough hits in to make the machina drop down to your level again without dropping any charges, atleast that's how it usually happens with me?
