How many times have you guys erased your files?

Too many times to count.

Well, maybe I'm exaggerating. But when I think about this, all I can remember is how pissed off I was at my brother when he "accidentally" saved over my file. When that type of stuff get to your mind, who the heck's gonna remember how many times that's happened to you?

Not me. Definitely not me.
 
Its got nothing to do with FF7 but just last night i bought a sansa Fuze and was messing around with it on Media Go trying to sync podcasts and transfer over music from my old sansa 250 model but when i got done i have no idea what the hell happend but suddenly half my songs got deleted and now im having to go back and track them all down one by one. It suks bad and I forgot a few of them.
 
i used to get furious when my saves were overwritten by friends/family/me or corrupted. nowadays, i take it for what it is, breath out a couple of times, and start over. mostly because i'm a lot more laid back than i used to be.
 
Once i deleted my save file and i was really angry about it...i made sure it never happened again, since i had to play the game from the begining...
 
i make a backup of them,i once started a game and saved over the original and i was like NNOOO! but i realised i had a back-up.

I remember when i was playing and my brother was like 'let me on,let me on' and took the controller off me,went to save and saved over his file because his was at the top and he's an impatient *beep* lol
 
I've done it in nearly all Final Fantasy games I've ever owned.
Save for 5, 6 and 10. Usually on the third disk too....
I think I've done it twice for Final Fantasy VII.
 
Oh, do I know. it sucked BAD =/ it was like halfway in the game y'know It sucked just cos all that DATA... gone. Just like that.! I did that once and onetime When I was gunna save... and I thought it saved... it didnt and I had to restart -__-
 
This is why you have multiple saves for one game. Though I've never done it since in both the PS and PSP you're given info on each file letting you know if this is the one to delete.
 
Haha... haha.... >_> Yeahh... I know I should've created a backup just in case somethin' happened ta the other fle but i wasn't thinkin'. You would think that after the mijionth time I would be smart ta do that but.. I never did... XD.
 
My memory card broke, so obviously my files have been erased, but not by me:D

As for my PC version. NO, i will never delete them...thank god for external harddrives!
 
I always hate how so many times I would have to restart all the way back at the beginning after getting a good ways into the game, then one day going to load it up, then hear that noise as that error message came up saying "File is ruined". :ugh:

I've probably had to erase at least 3 files...or around 3 anyways, idk. I have had Final Fantasy VII for so long, it is hard to keep track of my whole history of activity with it, ya know? :P
 
Well I erase it on purpose after I beat the game, just because I know I'll start a new game at some point in time.

However, I have erased my game by accident a few times and It made me so pissed and sad at the same time. All that work, for nothing, and I'm not even motivated to play the game anymore after that.
 
I had to because i had gotten corrupted data and i couldn't risk my other files being destroyed by it. So i had to delete the ones already messed up, i was too pleased by it. Since i never shut down my ps2 or taken out the memory card as the game/s were in the middle of saving data. :/

It's ridiculous how many times I've started this game over and erased files, or started over and never finished, then started over again and deleted the unfinished game files. :D

I'm a retard, I never keep my perfect saves either. I might next time around. :D
 
Oh my gosh! i did this with my first ever FFVII game! i had put so much time and effort into it and my gosh.. i cried for about half an hour afterwards (bearing in mind i was about 10 ahah). since then i haven't had such a reaction, but then i have been very careful since. a life lesson well remembered.
 
God I was so annoyed when I wiped my file.
It was one that I'd worked foreverrrrrrrr on and I was really happy with it, but I share a memory stick with my brother so I was gonna play his and kill Emerald Weapon but because I was so used to saving my own game I saved over my own file >.<!
Absolutely irritating.
 
I never actually erased my file but I did save over it once.

My brother was playing and he left his game on (as usual). I wanted to play my file so I went to save his and saved right over mine. :ffs:

I was not pleased as I was nearly on disk 3. :mokken:
 
Only once, I was dumb enough to put my file on the first block on FFVII, though with a lot of FFs it doesnt matter since itll automatically select the last save file. My brother saved over the file I played for all of highschool, I had so much materia, high stats and high scores at gs no one believed me, and it was all lost. His most recent wickedry was erasing everything in my computer, do you see a pattern here? He also ripped up my drawings when he was younger, that guy is pure evil i tell you.
