Just thought I'd try a little experiment. :P After splitting from my girlfriend, about a year ago, I'm finding it hard to find someone else despite help from well-meaning friends/family. Though I believe there is still quite a possibility to get her back again which I'm sure it won't take long for me to do that so yeah.

So anyway, I just wanted to see what sort of places people normally meet. Therefore, helpful responses are a priority. I've also setup a poll, in case you're too lazy to type.

Me and my fianc'ee met at our best friends house, while they were have a lan party. I am best friends, with my partner's best friend's older sister. After a few time of meeting up we exchanged numbers and email addresses. Nearly 2 years later here we still are.

I had just moved from LA to Dallas and I didn't know anyone. My (now) boyfriend kept staring at me in the library and he came over to talk to me. We became friends but he was really persistent to be my boyfriend. His persistance paid off though because I love him so much and it has been 1 year & 2 months since we officially started our relationship :D

He stared at you? That sounds like me.. Except I don't have no luck, I'm always looking for one that's too pretty. Then they go, leave me hang, pretend like they don't hate my guts because they don't have the heart to tell me so, not realizing it's a very cruel thing to do. That's particularly why I don't have a girlfriend. I get a serious feeling every couple of years, every time I move, and every time I get more and more reknowned around the school. Not having a girlfriend is boring... The last time I had one was when I was in the 4th grade. I need someone to brighten up my life.
.

Me and my girlfriend met at school, but saddly we broke up because she got accepted at a school in Asia. It was for the best, you know what they say "It's better to have loved and lost is better than to have never loved at all."

i am so mad!!! i've never evan had a boyfriend!!!!ohohoohoh am like the girl from never been kissed.... and i mean that litterly!
oh well i'lldie a vergen! but back to the point i think you can find your soul mate anywere be it the bar up the street or on a trip in another county!
so i keep surchen and hopefuly i will find my somebody....

Well i met my gf sakura through the internet ever since then i have been happy.:):):)

I met my current boyfriend via MySpace. We did go to the same college and he was looking for some people from our college to meet up and chat to. We got talking, met one night in Manchester and been dating ever since. That was a month and half ago. He lives back in my hometown and we see each other every weekend. But whats freaky is that I already knew some of his mates and one knew my very first boyfriend!

Its a small world after all!

I met my boyfriend at one of my many jobs when I used to work at a horse boarding farm. I had been working I think a year before he started, and I knew him from my school, but we didn't really know each other till we started working together, and we didn't start dating till like 3-4 years after we met

I met my boyfriend at school. While I was pouring water on some poor unsuspecting girl. He ran over and told me to stop and that it was kind of mean. And we've been together ever since. :)

Met my hubby at work. On my first day he was the one who showed me the ropes and all I could think of the entire time was "Gee he has a nice ass". Two weeks later he asked me out and two weeks after that I moved in with him. 18 years later we have been married for 9 years (10th anniversary this December) and still going strong.

Well, I was always born with my left hand. Sooner or later I was introduced to righty, my current girlfriend. She's so nice and knows everything.

I need an f'ing life. xD.
