House is awesome! i only really started watching it about 2 weeks ago, when on TV I saw the episode with the kid who has full body burns, and has an orgasm in his coma. Since then I've bought the first two series, and I love them!

Any other House fans about?
 
I don't like it enough to make a point of catching it on television, but it's a pretty decent show.

There isn't enough variety. The same stuff happens with each episode.

- Man/woman is living their life as usual, but something isn't quite right.

- Oh, god! He/she's down for the count! Something's wrong! But what?

- House isn't sure at first, but he's got a hunch. He won't divulge anything quite yet. After all, the show still has another half hour to go. Also, he has to let his incompetent staff have a go at the problem.

- All seems lost. The staff doesn't know how to save the person.

- Enter House.

- House solves the problem using his impressive intellect and doctor skills. Yay!

Not a bad show.
 
You've missed out the patient getting worse just before the 2nd commercial break. 9 times out of 10, this will involve the patient will have a seizure.

I think it's the only show on TV that could get away with being so formulaic though.
 
Hahahah, it's true. House tends to be rather formulaic. Although, this season's House kind of broke the formula a bit, what with the competition.

What I love most about House, apart from the sexy (and sadly now mostly absent) mancandy that is Chase, is the relationship between Wilson and House. It's awesome XD I love every time they're on screen together. Terrific writing and acting.
 
I'm fond of House but yeah I too am sick of the kinda repetitive nature of it, so big hope for this new series.
 
Oh, and many of his patients are morally corrupt. House is kind enough to expose 'em to family members and friends before working his magic. Woo!

Yeah, some of the episodes I caught threw me a curveball. Like the one episode where House was trying to save some lady out in the artic by giving some poor fellow instructions on how to operate on her.

Interested me a bit.

Yeah, because you know what is going to happen, yet you still watch it, so it's not actually the plot which is gets people to watch it, but

and between other characters.

I'm also quite partial to the bit where he has to work in the clinic, although its only there to provide comic relief, i think it does it rather well.
 
Yeah, most of the other characters are just there so that he can be an ass to them. They don't actually matter themselves (and anyways, it's called HOUSE, not The People Who Are House's B*tches). I think that mostly it follows that formula, but there's been enough side-storylines in the series that come in to breakup the flow...his painkiller addiction, the cop that was all after him, when he got shot by that guy, the aforementioned job competition...they throw things into the formula every so often to keep us interested in House's life...and to give him new stuff to be 'interested' in!
 
Who watches House? I really just started getting back into it after this weekend. I watched a 9-hour or so marathon of House on USA network, and now I have sort of a renewed interest in the show. So, who else likes House?
 
I love House...I believe I started watching around the 2nd or 3rd season...I caught the premiere & it was great...but now that stupid goddamn Fringe has taken it's 9pm time slot, I don't know if I'll be able to really watch it as religiously as I used to be able to...8pm on Tuesday is my NCIS time! V_V

I just stated watching the show recently, but I admit that I enjoy it. House is quite the character o_O

House is the doctor (medical diagnostic team to be precise) show with Hugh Laurie (who's won some awards for his performance)...It's got an awesome Massive Attack song for a theme btw. I have no idea why they're all wearing the same thing in that pic...it was the only pic I could find with the full current cast (I didn't really look that hard though tbh)...

lol.. thanx, and dw bout the pic i didnt expect that much.. i think it sounds kinda like another scrubs which i love so if i can find some streaming eps ill take a gander at it later
 
House = Awesomeness in a tub :p It's one of the best shows ever mayte, I reckon I got into it when it first aired in the UK
 
One thing I really don't understand about it is that Jesse Spencer is still listed in the main intro credits, but he rarely appears anymore. Oh, well. He'll probably come back full-time sooner or later...

But yeah, House is hysterical. He's a little sarcastic, a little cynical, but he has to have the best mind that anyone could have ever even imagined.
 
Pity Julius ain't on, he would so be raping this thread right about now :P
