At some point in our lives, we've all been called at least one of them. Do you find "hot" to be too informal for your liking? Is "beautiful" too upper class? Or do you just want to be left alone?

Share your thoughts and past experiences! And, you know... vote 'n' stuffs.

No but I agree with Saix. "Hot" is kinda informal. It usually has to do with lust mix with wanting a body and kissing the hell out of that person...I think. Whatever, I don't know. But if you're calling your friends that, then that's fine.

Beautiful is more formal and usually goes more with elegance. Natural beauty, is what you would call it.

Pretty and cute are kinda like in-between. You know what I mean.
 
Being called hot by a passing stranger wouldn't be snubbed by me, but I wouldn't make a thing out of it. However from people I know, I'd see it as a joke. Though if they're serious, like Mitsuki says, it's more in relation to physicalities rather than personality.

Though on the whole... I just want to be left alone. XD
 
Handsome. I've never received that comment unless grandmothers and blind people count. My grandmother also called me pretty once so I'm not sure what that is about. I don't really find myself attractive... apparently others do though. God knows what they're looking at!

Beautiful I think is more used for inner than outer beauty, too me it just seems to vague. I mean people say them, but never justify why they think they're beautiful. Hot I do agree is informal but still feels kinda personal, and I think kinda flirtacious

People always say that I'm cute becasue they think I'm a 14 year old when I'm actually 20. :dry: I hate looking younger than I am. It's a family trait though. XD
 
Ive been called hot on more than one accasion. Doesn't really bother me to much but I really don't care. I like calling other people hot though xD. Beautiful/Handsome is too sophisticated for me.
 
Hot makes me feel like Im in high school or the stereotypical frat dude.
Beautiful only can be used at specific moments or you feel like you said too much.
Cute is known as the kind of in-between and homely looking.
Pretty makes me feel like a grade school girl.

I call my hubby "gorgeous".

And as for the latter, I'd prefer to be called "pretty". =]
"Beautiful" is too worn out.
And "hot" is just annoying.
 
i despise being called cute... a random girl in my grade called me sexy... was it a joke... cause to me... i don't think i'm sexy (lol i guess)

I call girls hot if they're attractive. Although hotness in a girl often goes hand in hand with rude and bitchy, so...yeah. Cute if they're petite and attractive (which I actually prefer). I would only say beautiful if I was like, in a relationship with that girl, or I was talking about a car.

Being called handsome by a girl my age would seem somewhat insulting...it seems like a way to avoid calling a guy hot.
 
I think as far as looks and physical attractiveness, the smaller her ass the better. I like itty bitty butts. Dunno why... mine's fucking gigantic. lol
 
I call some of my female classmates hot all the time to test my luck!:rolleyes:

I got called all the above i think...but nobody called me GOD yet and i´m still waiting for that compliment!
