Well copied.When blood sugar levels are too high, more insulin is released from the pancreas and turns excess glucose into glycogen which is stored in the liver. When there is not enough sugar, more glucagon is released and turns glycagen into glucose. With diabetes, the insulin-secreting cells in the pancreas don't work, so sufferers take injections of insulin and have a controlled diet..... I forgot where maltose comes into it....
