"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" they say. Braska and Yuna; although his death separated Braska from his daughter Yuna while she was still in her youth, he had a lasting impact on her that played perhaps the biggest role in shaping her character traits and life.

Braska took the duty of defeating Sin on his shoulders as he pilgrimaged over Spira with only a fallen monk warrior (now ronin) such as Auron, and a drunken former star athlete in the likes of Jecht. Defeating Sin in the end and sacrificing his life to summon the Final Aeon to bring a temporary peace to the lands and people of Spira is what he is best known for.

Following in the highly acclaimed shadows of Braska, Yuna steps up to take on that task one more time, looking to put an end to Sin...permanently. With 6 of her closest friends in life now acting as her guardians, she succeeds in her duty and even goes beyond that. Sure her sacrifice may not have been given through her death, but her broken heart at the end is quite the suffereing it seems.

Both with tremendous success and enduring hardships in their life...who do you think made the better High Summoner?

Most definitely Yuna. It's hardly debatable since Yuna brought "The eternal Calm", while her father brought yet another not-lasting-for-long Calm. She truly liberated the world from it's sorrow and she did it the right way. She took care of Sin forever, unlike Seymour who wanted to liberate people by destroying them all and unlike Yunalesca who wanted them to live, but with false hope. But that's a nice thing to ask I'd never given it any thought myself. Braska was always higher in all our minds since he was a respectable hero summoner and Yuna's father. But Yuna surpassed him.

Hmm. Better in terms of ultimate goal, or power? The latter being essentially impossible to argue; I'll say Yuna. Like mentioned above, she brought an eternal calm. Braska wanted an eternal calm himself. Stated as much. Yet could not accomplish it in any other way of HOPING that his fight will somehow make Sin just vanish (a smidge stupid, considering the amount of time Sin had come back, presumably from huge ass-kickings on occasion).

Anyway, Yuna actually brought it all about, so the comparison is unquestionable.

The only difference in their (that I have seen) is that Yuna is more determined trusting and cheerful. Most of what you see of Braska is walking through some random place with Auron close behind and Jecht fooling off. Anyways with power I would have to say Braska is better, Because if Jecht's form really is braska final Aeon then... He could easily beat Yuna (unless you're like me in which case you have yuna so strong you can kill Braska's final Aeon in 2 hits). So I would have to say that they're even in the aspect of traits (traits and strength and stuff). So I would say that they are tied for the title of High-Summoner Supreme.

I would say Yuna because she has a strong will, knew what she had to do and yet managed to stay cheerful. She was also young and wasn't afraid to die. Well, I'm sure she was, but she didn't show it. Like mentioned in the above, she brought the Eternal Calm and set peace throughout the land. Everything about her is strong.

I voted for Braska. I think that he, Auron, and Jecht made a pretty cool squad.

But then again...Yuna DID bring the ETERNAL calm.

I think that not until a game is released taking you through Braska's journey with Auron and Jecht can we have a real debate about who is the 'High Summoner Supreme' until then it's Yuna for me.

I think Yuna also .... she changed the way things needed to be done, she brought peace without dying, she did everything the others before her should have done, even though they didnt do it in vain. She just kicks ass .. speaking of the eternal calm, I read somewhere the other day that Yuna's adventure isnt over .... does this mean we can expect a new FF10 ?? or was this just a site (cant remember where) wishful thinking ?
