EF YOU FOR GETTING ME TO ROOT FOR TOMMY! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU

Frank Fontaine

...I have a feeling this has to do with True Blood. And now all my creys are coming back. :sad3: I hate you all. Tommy was my favorite. :sad3:

I think it's just sad in general. Tommy was the better warrior. He smashed through everyone (& btw, me and my brother loved the first KO Tommy had in the cage, the one punch KO was awesome) and Tommy wasn't even fighting for himself he was fighting for someone else, that's selflessness at its greatest. :okay:

PLUS! Tommy was the only one who forgave their dad!

I have no idea what that film was trying to teach people, but it was messed up.

Tommy should have won goddammit. :ahmed:

and WTH! :rage:

Why would he break his brother's arm. WHAT DOUCHE BAG! :rage: it was very sad when he looked for his dad but he wasn't there.... :sad3:

I would give this film a good rating, except for the crappy ending. It was very typical that the "white knight" would win. :hmph:

:hal:

No.

It's about a film.

Not about sparkly vampires. :mokken:

Well I liked that Brendan was always thought of as less than Tommny and he striuggled through his fights, whereas tommy had all of the natural talent. When he kept fighting after breaking his arm :inlove:

I would have preferred so see him fight Soba and brendan fight mad dog. How in love are you with Mr. Hardy now?

When he kept fighting after breaking his arm :inlove:
Yes, me and my brother were very impressed. Only a true warrior would fight even after something like that. Which is all the more reason why the ending of the film doesn't make sense! :hal:

I would have preferred for Tommy to have won the entire thing. :ahmed:

I am very in love. :ari:

Especially since he was so convincing. :hmmm: I wonder if he got any recognition for his role in that film? also, did he do some of his stunts? it looked very real. :hmmm:

Also, I'm serious.

Me and my brother shan't ever forgive you for this, pal! :mokken:

after reading through the posts ive found out this is the film you wanted me to watch conor.

now its spoiled :(

I think I know where they got that from.

Forrest Griffin broke his arm in an MMA fight, I think blocking a kick. Then, he knocked out his opponent with his good arm.

Clip of it.

Not to cheapen it, but lots of fighters break their hands or arms and continue to fight. I guess with the adrenaline they don't even feel it until after the fight is over...

Its quite possible that just as the Rocky movies were inspired by Mohammad Ali vs George Foreman, Warrior was inspired by actual events also.

The mohawk that one dude has looks almost identical to the mohawk Chuck Liddell sported throughout his career. I would guess it borrows heavily from real life influences which would be awesome~

You know... I just said to my brother "watch, this guy's gonna come in here and say 'lots of fighters break their arms/limbs during fights' and try and lessen the impact of this amazing film."

I'm sorry, Lewis. But you should watch it anyway. It's pretty damn amazing. Even if you know some scenes. :ryan:

Have you seen Inception? Yeah he got tons of recognition for his performance particularly the beach scene

I am sorry lew! Watch Drive soon or I will inevitably spoil that too

Tommy appears as a dick for most of the film until you find out why he is fighting. I think his tapping out was to show that he finally forgave Brendan

To be on topic with this thread, I've not watched Warrior, but I did particularly enjoy Tom Hardy in Inception. Although, I enjoy Tom Hardy in most of his roles. :hmmm:

You were wrong. :LJ:

lulz, I just realized I have that movie on my hard disk & forgot I had it.

Maybe, I'll watch, sometime.

I am fairly certain most fights get stopped after and arm is snapped

If the ref knows the arm is broken he'll stop it.

But, sometimes, bones get broken without the refs knowledge and the fight continues.

You can say "not to cheapen it" all you want. But you still tried to.

It's like saying "With all due respect, but you're a efing moron"... see, just cuz you say "with all due respect" doesn't actually mean you're being respectful.

And yes, I agree. I thought it was sweet and very moving that he gently tapped out with Brendan. It just further showed me that he was sucha good person deep down. :ryan:

I wish I could know what happened to him after the fight involving the marines. :hmmm:

Me too! :ohoho: I was like, 'THAT is a true warrior, man!'

He wasn't doing it for fame... and that's so bad ass. :ryan:
