Ok, Even though its completely natural for guests to hover on a thread, But when its a GFX thread full of my completed Hard works, It make Me wonder what they are really doing.

My question is Is there any way to protect my images from being ripped by guests???? Ive started embedding a watermark, but that alas doesnt stop them from thieving.

All i just really wanna know is If they are Theiving, can I stop It???

Thanks,
V.V :vincent:

What Decado said. No matter what you're always going to face the risk of being ripped, it's tough luck, if you upload an image and put it into your sig then there's always a possibility you'll be ripped. Whilst watermarks will deter most people from ripping, skillful gfxers could easily hide the watermark if they wish.

So yeah, what Decado said...no. :gmonster:

Can't certian threads be made private from guests, like the GFX ones, art ones and member picture thread? I know it's something Ive thought about before, all those creepy guests potentially stealing pictures xD

There isn't much you can do about that except what Mercurial has said. I at one point had someone take one of my signatures on another forum and alternate the sig then claim as their own. One suggestion is to put your username on all your work but even with that is can still be a problem because people can easily clone stamp it out and such. In other words, no there isn't much you can do about it like everyone else said but that is just a suggestion or take your work down if you feel it's becoming a problem.

^ I agree, if people weres ripping the signature I made then I would consider it a compliment, since it shows that I really did a good job in making a sig.

There'd be little point in making the GFX forums private to guests - if they were going to 'steal' the images at all, then registering wouldn't be too much of an effort for them.

The simple answer is 'no'; the longer answer is a combination of the above posts. As such:
