Okay, so... Here in a few weeks, I'm getting the iPhone 4, all ordered and ready. I gotta make an iTunes account in order to download applications on to my phone though...

Now here's my thing, I don't have a credit card. I do know that you can buy these iTunes cards that are worth like 15 dollars/euros, but can you make an account with them? If so, does anyone have experience with them?

And if not, is there a way to make an account without having a credit card?

Any help would be awesome.

You have to have a CC to make an iTunes account now? I didn't know that, I have an iTunes account, and I never had to link or even put in any CC info in it. And this is only when I bought a new iPod Touch recently.

Idk Kira.

Hm, yeah. I saw it on the english site or when I change my location, but because my adress is in the Netherlands, it gave me an error.

I THINK I might have a solution though, it does take the giftcards, it seems... And I know a store around here that sells them. I'll try when I get the iPhone. :hmmm:

You only need a debit card to get one so if you have that your fine. A debit card being one that allows you to buy stuff over the internet etc/use in shops.

The easiest thing would be to phone yer bank and get one if you dont have already. I was given a debit card when i turned 16 by the bank so its likely youl already have one.

REgardless of gift cards you still need an account with apple. Its the irritating thing about their software.

I have a normal bank card that you can use for ATM's and all that stuff, I can pay things with it online as well, through iDeal and all that kinds of stuff. iTunes, however, is asking me for a credit card, and my card doesn't count as one. It's giving me three kinds of options and my card isn't mentioned in them. I think... however, that I can make an account with a giftcard, the ones for 15 euros and the like.

I'ma give that a go, hopefully that will work this week, if not, eh... =/

:hmmm:

I went on iTunes one time and it accepted my debit card. Also, the PSN Store asks for a credit card but I used my debit card and it accepted it. I think you can just select the brand (VISA, Mastercard etc etc) but I'm not sure. :hmmm:

I would advise phoning yer bank and telling them you want a debit card. Basically all that is is a regular card that you can use online aswell as at ATMs etc.
Youd probadly have it by the end of the week if you ordered it now =X

And what ewan said is correct
