Hi all!

While growing up, I had two main experiences with Final Fantasy. I had an NES as a kid and played FFI briefly, but didn't get past Garland. I didn't know how to equip items, or how experience worked, so I just started the game, ran to the Temple, ran from every fight and got stomped by Garland before I gave up.

Yeah. I wasn't the smartest kid.

When SNES came out, I'd watch my brother play Final Fantasy "2" (FFIV) all the time. It was a blast, and when I played it I loved it as well. That was about it.

A few months ago, I got a hankering to take on a gaming project of some kind, and so I decided to play all the main Final Fantasy games in order. Not an uncommon project on a site like this. Outside of FFIV's base game and the gist of the FFI plot, I am totally unspoiled (and trying to remain that way).

Because of that, I'll only gradually enter forums, and even then will take care to remain blind/unspoiled, but wanted to introduce myself anyway as I start to lurk about. I completed GBA FFI, GBA FFII along with SoR, DS FFIII, PSP FFIV's base game and interlude. I'm currently finishing up "The After Years."

If you have any interest in reading my experiences and notes as I play through the series, they're available on coldrungaming.blogspot.com. I update that site every Sunday with that week's posts.

See y'all around!

Hi there, welcome to FFF. Have fun playing the FF games in order. I'd say the best ones are from FFVII - FFX but that's just my opinion. I've still yet to play through all of FFVI, but I've heard great things about the game. FFIII and FFIV are pretty good as well, hope you liked them.

Hope to see you around often. :)

I hope you enjoy the series :elmo:
My favorite outta the main series is IV and IX :elmo:

But come by every now and then :elmo:

Thanks for the welcome! While I'm avoiding specific plot stuff, I've heard that the series gets better and better, and already I've enjoyed my playthrough so far. The music (I especially love FFII's Pandemonium and FFI's Sunken Shrine, as well as the FFIV After Years theme music for the as-yet-unnamed Evil Moon Girl who looks like Rydia), the mechanics and class diversity (the geomancer in FFIII gives me LIFE - the bell attacks and random Terrain stuff), the story (my favorite being Edward's character development in FFIV The After Years)...

EVERYTHING

SO GOOD

:)

EDIT: I should also say that most of my gaming for the past 13 years or so was in the realm of MMOs. EverQuest, World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, Rift. Given that, I'm especially looking forward to reaching FFXI and FFXIV, as I've heard those are MMOs.

Welcome, don't be put off by the apparent lull in activity, alot of teh memebers are in a forum even called Survivor, was wondering why it was so quiet myself :monster:

Never played FFXI, but if you do reach FFXIV later, we're over at Lamia. ;)
