Hey all!
This forum looks like a lot of fun! I've been looking for a place to have discussions about a lot of my hobbies, and this place covers a wide variety of topics! Umm...ok, a little bit about myself...
My name is Sara, and I've played video games all my life! I grew up on RPGs but have played all types of games!
I've always had an appreciation for Japanese culture my whole life (though anime seemed to bore me until last year), and was fortunate enough to make a bunch of Japanese exchange students my best friends. I plan on going to Japan to study in a couple of years, so I'm learning Japanese right now.
My roommate got me interested in anime last year, like I said, and now I find it fascinating!
I love watching and playing tennis, and want to take more lessons soon! I also would like to learn a martial art. I love to exercise!
Okay, that's enough for now! Hopefully I can get to know a lot of people here soon

A Grand Rapids gir, huhl? I used to live in Muskegon but that was a little over 4 years ago. It's great that you're learning Japanese. Keep up the good work! I wish I had more time to sit down and learn the language but with being a full-time mommy it's rather hard to do so. I'm in Japan currently and....have forgotten all of my Japanese. You're probably smarter to become somewhat fluent in it first, instead of just jumping in headfirst. Despite what people say, not many people (at least in Tokyo, from what I've encountered) know English.

Anyway, welcome and post lots!

A word of advice for those learning Japanese: Get the dialect right! You'll sound funny if you speak like a guy when you're a girl, or vice versa!

Don't say I didn't warn you, because it happened to my English teacher.
