Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I've already started posting anyway

I'm kryceks, its been a while since I've been active on any online forums but I like to mingle when I can. Over the years I've become disconnected with Final Fantasy and as of late I've been starting to revisit some of the older games.

I've really been playing through FF6. Even did a little grinding on FF12 and despite so many fans hatred towards the game, I seem to find charm in it.

I used to play FF11 and FF14 so I know what that is all about.

Generally, I like science fiction movie/films, comedies and fantasies. Been watching anything from Doctor Who and Star Trek to Game of Thrones.

I also like to compose music here and there. I'm a music ed major so I'm inspired by almost all the music I hear.

Feel free to talk to me, add me as a friend and whatever else the community does here.

Welcome to the forums glad you joined! I also was disconnected from FF for a quite some time and decided to register to a new FF Forum after FF Republic went dead and now I'm addicted and enjoy posting here with some great members.
I never played FF12 is it any good and worth playing?

Welcome to the forums! I hope to see you posting around, and I'm currently shoving myself through Final Fantasy XII. Started in November 2011 and, well... I'm progressing Quite the long game mostly consisting of grinding :S

Definitely explore what the FF series has to offer, each of the games are great. (Not sure about FFXIV, though) Feel free to join in on the forums!

I find that this all depends on what you like in a Final Fantasy. The biggest complaint I've seen on the web is that the game is too open ended with a short generic story. You can almost compare it to Elder Scrolls in a way, since there is more side quest content than actual plot content. I enjoy this type of game, although I still think it suffers here and there because it is open ended. I'll save the rest of my opinion for a FFXII thread.

Yes, I have played VIII and X. I should have explained that I've played every Final Fantasy so far (except XIII-2) and that the games that I mentioned in my introduction were recent revisits to the series. As for my opinions on the two games you mentioned, I think both have great atmospheres and are memorable but suffer from flawed storytelling. I may nitpick, but I still enjoy both games.

I'll try to get some recordings of my musical works up here for you guys to have a listen. I shared a video of me playing piano already in the shoutbox earlier. I also talked about doing some FF tribute music in the future in a thread as well.

Yup, you'll have to set some time out of your day to play FFXII. I've learned that during my journey through it. Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the quick review of the game i'll eventually try and get a copy for PS2 and play the game.
