i really don't think adults or teens for that matter shouldn't play this game mainly because you look alot better just learning how to play an adult guitar instead of a 3 year olds

Well, some people say they can play actual guitar and I don't see how that's supposed to bother certain people at all. Because most people who play Guitar Hero have no ambitions to actually play real guitar.

Whats that got to do with the price of fish???
Its a game, meant to be fun and games like this were made for parties and group fun and such.
Dont need to be serious about it.

Guitar Hero is great because nearly anyone can pick up the guitar controller and play along to some of their favorite songs. Learning how to play an actual guitar is a difficult task that requires a large amount of time.

For those who don't aspire to be a guitarist, it's a good alternative. Pretty fun game, too. I can't seem to play on the expert level, however.

Oh I gotta get this one yet...some times soon, looking foward to this :D

For kids depends on age I would say. For most 8, 9 or even 10 y olds I would guess it would be difficult....fingers/hand might be to small for those large buttons,...but the factor of fun makes them want to play....and that it is what GH is all about right. :D

I am an adult and I have problems playing it, mainly with fast strumming I have to say. I have no problem with fast fingers, while my boyfriend always complans his fingers hurt after a while. I mean I have 15 years of piano behind me and that definitelly contributes to not feeling any pain in my fingers even after few hours of fast button hitting, but it has nothing to do much with the actual gameplay and game.

But being able to play an actual guitar has nothing to do with GH either, it might help but a real guitar is a completelly different deal, and to me GH does not compare at all in about anything. You do not learn anything about playing a real guitar by playing a GH. It simulates and mimics the guitar by look and vaguely set up (threads left hand, strumming right hand) but that is about it....that is where all the similarities stop. Little hint...you can play it without that fake guitar....and if anyone tells me that they know how to play a guitar after few hours of GH I would laugh my arse off.

GH is a fun game but actually not everyone can play it. I have a friend who just cannot get in terms with it, he has no sense of timing for it. GH is about reflexes, timing and rhythm, and about having a good ear for that tune. If you know the song you are already half way there. And you have many people like my friend who just cannot hack it...the only thing that can contribute to GH when it comes to being able to play a real instrument in real life is the fact that it can help with having a better ear and sense of rhythm for it. Nothing ellse...

Expert mode is out of question for me....I do not even bother with it,... hard I can manage but still I cannot play them all, and I haven't even tried really.

I've onyl ever tried Playing Guitar Hero II so far and I sucked at it. We all were just drinking and junk and playing card games and we fgured we'd bust out GHII. I had never palyedit before so of course I blew when I tried it.

I actually borrowed GHII from my buddy last night and I'll try it out tonight and see if I can get the hang of it. I doubt I'll get GHIII, but I hear all the ranting and raving about it all the time.

I Bought this yesterday for PS2.
Its a brilliant game & im addicted but i still can't do a medium song...I can't pick up the 4 notes yet but with practice i will get the hang of it.

Oh & about 8-10 years olds might find it hard....On youtube a 9 year old played 'Dragonforce - Through the fire & the flames' (Hardist song in the game) On expert mode, its insane.

I can play everything on Expert except...
-TTFAF(Grrrr...)
-Raining Blood(I hate Slayer.)
-TDWDTG(I HATE SLAYER)
Oh... and my GH3 Wii disc broke.. =(
I have a PS2 though....

I'm not so good at this game on xbox360 but I can own on ps2. I don't have the game but I love to play it in the stores and stuff. My favorite song is Slow ride.

ive only played the demo, and imo its a great game, it has a great tracklist and the graphics are still amazing XD

I have this game on PS3. While it is entertaining and has a few good songs on it, I thing that GHIII was a big step backward from GHII.

GHII had a pretty good tracklist, but the thing is the songs were not only good, but actually fun to play. I would play the same 10 or so songs on GHII for hours on end. Whereas GHIII, had a few entertaining songs but only a few which I found fun to play. Really I think this is due to Activision picking up where Harmonix left off, I personally think Harmonix understood the Music Video Game genre better than Activision which has inturn resulted in Activision creating a game of lesser quality and replay value.

Is it bad that I can 5 - star every career song except Raining Blood on expert, which I haven't tried for for a while and I can play TTFAF on expert...
The only song I can't play is Heroes of out Time also by Dragonforce (from the DLC pack) which is quite annoying as they are one of my favourite bands and I would like to be able to say I can play all of the songs on there...

Also anyone with this who wants a game add Who are you 2 and I'll happily play anytime I'm online

What a load of shit. I played guitar for years before i tried guitar hero, and i loved it! But basically, you're saying people should play a real guitar because it "looks" better? *cough* Superficial.

Guitar hero 2 i played for months, started on 1 and quickly moved up to hard but GH2 is where i went srs mode and started 100%ing songs on expert. Very challenging, as if u mess up 1 single note you have to restart the song. I think i had about 32ish 100%. Those guys that 100% songs like TTFAF and The devil went down to georgia are just straight freaks though. Honestly, that shit is ridiculously hard. So hard that you get a guiness record for it LOL.

But yeah, i played up until greatest hits and kinda lost interest. That and my 360 guitars kept fucking out on me. /grr I'd rather play/practice real guitar nowadays anyway. But it sure was fun while it lasted, i even won a tournament in town for 120 bucks.:wacky:

I agree with ya Sashman, 2 i played a crap load. What were your favs? Mine had to be: (In alphabetical order)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Beast and the harlot: Fun riff and that was solo was awesome to play, i tried so many times to hit the triplets but honestly, thats just 2 hard. D:

Carry On Wayward Son: I dont think i managed to 100% it, i always missed a note in either the first or 2nd solo but great fun to play.

Crazy On You: Super fun song and quite challenging to 100%. I actually 100%ed this one day by a stroke of luck even though i overstrummed in one of the solos. It was my best 100% i think.

Free Bird: So close to 100%ing, i missed 10 notes in total. >.<

Hangar 18: Awesome fun to play with the all the solos. Never managed to 100% =(

Jessica: Great chillout song and rather challenging, i managed to 100% this flukily one day. :D I was stoked.

Stop: Fun song to play, hard solo to master, which i never did. =(

You really got me: I tried endlessly to 100% this but even if i hit the first solo id always miss the out solo.

YYZ: Very strange song that was always fun to play, i think i 100% this but cant remember D:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
BONUS TRACKS:

Arterial Black: Mastered the riff, came so close to 100%ing the solo but never quite managed. >.> Awesome song to play.

Gemini: One of my Faves, awesome song with some really challenging parts, i never could 100% this one.

Jordan: As retardadly hard as the solo was, it was still fun to practice on. I dont think id ever 100% this one. :gonk: I did manage to beat it with 2 fingers once no lie, i spammed that solo like you wouldnt believe.

Push Push (Lady Lightning): Deff my fav song to play, i just loved it. :D

Six: Practiced this one alot, never managed to 100% it though but i came pretty damn close. Like 98-99%. >.<

The Light That Blinds: Another fun/challenging one to play. So close to 100%ing yet so far. <!--3

Thunderhorse: FUCK YES! This was one badass tune, i loved playing this everytime. I think i 100%ed this one time, but im not sure tbh. :S
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And that pretty much sums it up.

BADOOGH! *A wall of text hits you for 9999 damage*

TLDR.:wacky:
