The lightning summon is called Ramuh. So those are the only materias that you used to defeat Ruby Weapon? How long did it take you to defeat him?
Well there are different ways that you could beat Ruby Weapon. You just need to have a good strategy and the right materia combinations to defeat him. Here is a link with some useful materia combinations that might help you defeat Ruby Weapon. Let me know if it was useful to you okay.

Cloud - lvl 99 eqipped with Ultima weapon with: FINAL ATTACK MASTERED
(Like mandatory equpment man!) Combined with PHOENIX MASTERED 
(fool!)
Like basic stuff here man! this gives the party 4 lives! As you have to start with 2 dead characters this ability means that once cloud dies phoenix REVIVES EVERYONE!
Cloud also needs a mastered Knights of the round with Mastered W-Summon!
Cid - lvl 99 equipped with with: MIME mastered, 2nd Mastered final attack combined with 2nd Mastered Phoenix (Fool!!!! basic stuff!)
Barret - lvl 99 with with: Same as above man this is like kindergarten crap in terms of final fantasy lore! Fair play it takes a while to get to that level of materias but hey level grinding is final fantasy law!
The above gives an instant revive for peace of mind for the beginning if cloud dies & means that if someone dies who cares no turn wasted & the mime means that Knights of round can be casted uber times! as materias should be mastered it means they will operate at full capacity & phoenix also revives MP!!!!!
Plus this team means that when everyone is alive & have taken a beating the limit breaks (please for the love of Ifrit say you have 4th limit breaks!!!!) for this team at full power deals damage from cloud, barret & cid equaling the devastation of Knights of the round!!!!
