Im sat here sipping my tea and UGH...I can't function without my morning brew....I like need it or it fucks up my day. I was ALWAYS late for work so as soon as I walked through the door Id be in the kitchen making myself a cup of tea. If I got yelled at for making a brew after 9 Id be like I NEED IT :gasp:

Im sure Im not the only one that's neurotic over it :wacky:

I usually don't have morning tea, or coffee, because I usually wake up at 3 in the afternoon. I'm always up all night playing my PSP. But morning tea sounds like something I'd have if I woke up earlier. Mmm, with honey...

Well, I do just mean when you wake up, I'm up surprisingly early today (hangover) but no matter what time I arise from my pit, I have to have that cup of tea or it's all over :wacky:

The world means nothing to me until I've had my Coffee, I could wake up and find the lass having hardcore shags with next door on the living room floor and I wouldn't care. I need that Coffee. Also I get very very grumpy if I don't have a regular top-up, if I don't have any for a few days I end up going mental. :neomon:

Blech. I don't care for tea or coffee. If I wake up and feel like I need a boost, I usually just down an energy drink.

Those Mountain Dew Amp energy drinks are pretty awesome. The purple one tastes like grape soda. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

I'm only ever up before 10am on a Saturday and Sunday, when I have work. When I was in school, I always made sure that I had breakfast though. I just couldn't manage a day without it. These days, I seem to cope fine. As long as I have a shower in the morning, I'm happy.

I can't drink tea or coffee in the morning. Maybe if I've been up for a couple hours, but right when I wake up in the morning, I need to change my clothes since I always feel dirty when I wake up.

I don't really depend on caffeine, but recently, I've been having Tim Horton's french vanilla cappuccino before I go to work and I find that during the days that I don't have my cappuccino, my eyes grow heavy and I would feel the sudden desire to sleep right there in front of the children as I would feel extremely tired. It happens every single day now for the past few weeks or so. It pisses me off because I can't seem to stay awake even if I walk around. Sometimes I'd even be walking half-asleep...

It's as if my body now depends on caffeine, which I would really like to change because I want to feel healthy again and not be tired all day.

Although a drink like Coffee or tea does help, I can function just fine after I've had a shower.

Before that, I'm like a bloody zombie X_X

To all those coffee-addicts out there, there is a cure: stop the process slowly.

Seriously, I'm getting this straight from a Psych textbook (not word for word, but the essence):

Caffeine is one of the positive reinforcers: it makes the body want more and more. Basically, the more you have, the more your body wants, so it gets into a cycle. Eventually, you'll be so deep into it that your homeostasis actually feels as though it needs it, when in actuality it doesn't. The best thing for it is to slowly lower your intake.

GREEN TEA!!!! It has some caffiene but not as much, and it has other natural stimulant properties that are just as buzzing and healthier for you too. If you can get over the taste that is (I import loose-leaf from Japan and it's much more yummy than the crap at the supermarket ^^)

i can not consentrat until i drink a cup of milk and honey and then after half an hour a cup of green tea if i didn't drink them i will feel very old and just sit on my bed and watch my screen

You're absolutely right. But damn it's hard. >.> I have my french vanilla cappuccino at least 3 or 4 times a week, along with Starbucks (once a week), and sweetened iced tea (twice a week). All that caffeine...>_<

I am seriously addicted and I cannot seem to stop.

But I will. Someday.

I don't drink tea or coffee, don't really like either. The only caffeinated drink I have is an iced caramel latte when I go out with my friends, although I don't get them much as I usually go for a hot chocolate.

I always hear people talking about how they can't function without coffee in the morning, and I've never understood that. I'm fine in the mornings, well, aslong as I get enough sleep (rare). I have breakfast if I have time... but I often don't have much of an appetite first thing in the morning. I usually just wander around the kitchen nibbling at random things like grapes, yoghurts, oranges or other fruit, biscuits, and have a glass of orange juice. But if I don't then it's not the end of the world.

Well in that case, I'm doomed to drink coffee for the rest of my life. I have 2 cups before I leave the house (at least), and if I get back about 1-ish, I'll probably have 4 more before utter zombification :shame:
(should be sleep, but that's what it becomes with 6 BIG mugs a day)

I don't understand why people need coffee or tea to function. Relying on caffeine or leaves for survival makes me cringe. Rely on Sour Patch Kids, damnit!!!
