Which character did you like better?

Personally I liked Vegeta. I've always liked arrogant characters and Vegeta was definently arrogant. And he was a badass.

I agree. Vegeta. He just struck me as more awesome and intelligent than Goku. I know they were trying to pull off purity and all, but, Goku came off as such an idiot... >.<;

Goku I dunno I just really dig characters that give you something to believe in. I like the good thats inside of Goku....yea he's really dense but he means well.

I picked Vegeta. I normally don't fall for the 'bad guy that everybody loves' type but Vegeta I guess I did. He had reason to act like he did and it always made it all the sweeter when he committed an act of kindness. The Buu saga sucked but he was the sole reason it was good. I also didn't like GT but it was nice to see how he interacted with a teenage daughter.

Vegeta. I REALLY like his character development.
He began evil and was a really nasty, selfish peice of work, but he didn't have much choice in the matter. It was the only life he knew.

When you first see him he destroys a whole planet at ease, then lands on earth and seems indestructable. To him only the strongest survive and get to have the last laughs. So seeing
Nappa get the crap kicked out of him, he would rather kill his team mate than nurse him back to health and save him.
But what he witnesses on earth, people
letting him live after being defeated
starts a chain reaction off in his head which begins to change the way he views things (though at first he views them as being totally stupid and irrational), though he still fights his natural urges to be evil.

The scene where he lets it all come out, explains his backstory and
slavery under Freiza
etc just before
he dies
was really emotional, and we got to see the workings behind his badass attitude.

A legend of a character. And the voice actor in one of the dubs (can't remember which) sounded really sinister, and interesting to listen to and brought out the character really well.

Goku is ace too, naive, but pure at heart. He brings a lot of humour to it. But I think Vegeta ftw.

Mind you though... I have only seen DBZ up to the beginings of the Majin Buu saga, so am missing a lot of what has gone on since then (stupid Cartoon Network kept stopping the series half way through and restarting). I've been rewatching the first few sagas through downloads so will see all of it soon enough'ish.

Vegeta is better than Goku, and if it wasn't for the script of Vegeta being the 'bad guy' then he would have owned Goku throughout the entire DBZ lifetime. Also if it wasn't for Vegeta not being the main character he would have achieved Super saiyan 3 around the same time as Goku instead of not at all and he would have also been able to battle Buu, Cell, Freiza, king cold, meta freiza, cooler, Brolly and also android 13 without Goku's aid.

vegeta is by far and away the best dbz character, just great how he changes from being the badass villain to the badass good guy xD

I like them both equally.

I like the whole jokey happy-go-lucky attitude Goku has, and I like the whole arrogance of Vegeta.

I think they feed off eachother. Goku's character wouldn't seem as crazy (non-fight scenes) if Vegeta wasn't there showing a character that's completely on the other end of the spectrum. The same in reverse, Vegeta's character wouldn't be as cool if Goku wasn't there goofing around.

I love the scenes of them together in "The Return of Cooler" and "Fushion Reborn" when they've both been beaten the hell out've, even then they are arguing in a comical way.

If you've not seen the new special (The Return of Son-Goku and Freinds!) then it's worth watching just for the interaction between the two of them.

Hands down, its Vegeta!
He's always been awesome. And I've always loved him. I almost cried when Vegeta realized that Goku was stronger then him when they were fighting kid Buu.

YOU MANIAC! YOU BURNED IT UP! DARN YOU! DARN YOU ALL TO HECK!

That's how I felt at that moment.
