Help getting chocobos

i am on the first disc right outside the choboco farm, and i keep finding the choboco, but the thing keeps running away before i coud do any thing, also i beat the enemies and the coboco starts pecking at me, is there a way to keep it around long enough to capture it

Give the chocobo some Gysahl Greens to munch on and then take out the enemies. If the chocobo finishes the greens before the enemies are done, give him more so he won't run away or attack you.

yes i have it , also my players keep attacking the choboco

Feed him greens and attack the enemies. Make sure not to attack the chocobo in any way. This includes using 'All' magic. It's good to keep tossing greens every other turn to ensure that the chocobo sticks around.

One very important thing to note is that if you have the PC version of FF7, you will probably need to download a chocobo patch. Otherwise, the chocobo will run away unreasonably fast. This is a flaw in the software/program compatability. It's the same way with chocobo races.

If it becomes a lost cause, you can always run through the marsh. If your timing is just right, you can avoid getting mauled by that big ass serpent. 4got his name lol

If you attack it, it will attack you back. You can choose which monster to attack and you have to be careful about it. If necessary, attack one person at a time because once a monster is killed, if a character was focusing on that monster, they will attack the next creature in line. You don't want that to happen because they'll just end up attacking the chocobo. Have two of the characters attack different monsters and have the other one wait. That way if one of the attacking characters deals a killing blow, the other characters won't attack the chocobo next. Just keep the chocobo munching on Gysahl greens while you pummel the monsters.

The worm btw has an ability you might want to acquire so you might want to go back there when you are stronger.

I do wish the game allowed you to return to the prison but once you finish it you're outta there for good.

There's really nothing good at Corel Prison to begin with. If you're referring to Enemy Skills, there are monsters outside of the prison that have the same skills.

yep u do need a chocobo lure u could buy it or wait till a chocobo drops it when it dances

He's already past this part I'm sure. And if he's finding the chocobos in battle, then he already has the chocobo lure. xD
