I was just wondering...would you guys rather get the GBA version of Final Fantasy 1 which comes with Final Fantasy 2 aswell, would you rather get the NES version (if you like the classic version), or the PSP version that had better graphics, Better presentation, and a few more dungeons?

I myself only played the GBA and PSP version and was a fan of the PSP version more because of the graphics. I know alot of you are going to choose GBA cause it had another game but the other game sucked :P

I got mine on the PS1. Never played it on any other platform so I guess Id go with that. And Id rather play it on my tv than handheld.......

wow i didnt know that Final Fantasy 1 came out for the PS1 o_O I am pretty dumb :P... And i like handheld better cause i can play it anywhere i want :P

I play the SNES version on my psp. Although I prefer the GBA version.

When the hell did they release a version of FF1 for the SNES? I must have been dead during that time to not notice that.

I myself prefer the challenge of the NES version. There's no better challenge than going to attack someone and they miss coz the enemy had already been taken out earlier in the turn. It teaches you to strategize better and to really get to know your characters. Besides, it's the original. It started it all.

I've got it one the PS1 and GBA, GBA being the preferred one because its just a little bit more despit being easier. Haven't got the PSP version, maybe one day....the NES version I find is unplayable for me.

I only have the GBA versoin and I like it. Im tempted to get the PSP versoin, but its just the same as the GBA version in a way.

I don't see how much more could be added on to make another port. Frankly, I just didn't like the original enough to want to play it more than once, anyhow.

The only big differences between them are the graphics and that there are more dungeons you can expoler id thats what you like to do ^_^

I got it for the NES and the PS1. I haven't gone that far in the NES verson (and I haven't played my NES in a long time also), but I got relatively far in the PS1 version. So I guess I prefer the PS1 version, but a handheld version would be more convenient.

GBA emulator. I don't have a PSP, and I would have gotten Origins for the PSone only I already have Chronicles and Anthology and I can't stand dealing with the horrid load times.

Guess I could always play it on my NES emulator too...but why bother when I've got the GBA version?

I prefer the PSone version... Reason?

FFII's on it as well. ^^ Who cares about supposed 'added features' when you've got a whole 'nother game to play on the same disk if you get bored?

yeah id say gba version. you can take it with you and theres 2 new dungeons. the new dungeons were pretty good for getting good equipment early too.

ive got the psp version and i really like it. i never played it on the other platforms tho but it should b pretty much the same. the graphics r awesome and it doesnt have a complicated plot so i like it being portable.

Sorry this is slightly off-topic-

I just got myself a PSP. Since I'm waiting for Crisis Core to come out I thought I would go buy either FFI or II to keep myself occupied until then. Is it worth buying either of these titles? I was curious about FFI and the party choosing and stuff, whaddya think?

I prefer the PSP version of Final Fantasy I and II. It has the gameplay of the GBA version and the soundtrack of the Origins version. I have a low opinion about the NES version. I cannot stand the gameplay of that version.

sry i didnt read this sooner lol i did exactly what u did and bought my psp for crisis core ,and ive gotten both of these games. i'd recommend the second one over the first one because its actually got real characters, and in the 1st one, u make up ur own characters. its also more entertaining than the 1st one in my opinion. the only drawback is that the characters dont level up, and instead you have to do certain things in battle to increase their mp, hp, ect. the 1st one u level up in, so whichever one u prefer better. there both good games, but if ur gonna spend 29.99, id use it on the 2nd. if ur finished with it before cc comes out, then u mite want to consider goin and gettin the 1st. i hope i helped!! :monster:

50 is the highest level you can get on the NES version of Final Fantasy I. 99 is the highest level you can get on the GBA and PSP versions. On the NES and Origins versions, you will have to use an Inn, Sleeping Bag, Tent, or Cottage to save the game. On the GBA and PSP versions, you can save the game just about anywhere, except during battle.
