Games are good right?

In general i think games are just for fun. Has anyone ever disagreed with something that has happened on a game, eg too gory, thats makes you wonder why is was made like that. Does something like this have an affect on people that causes them to think/act differently?

i agree games are for fun. I think its crap when games are blamed for agression in society. As an exzmple there was a boy who murdered his parents, his sister or summat blamed it on the devil may cry games. I mean WTF? i play these games and im fine they havent changed me at all. I think they shift the blame to video games as its an easy scapegoat, when it comes down to the fact that these voilent ppl are not right in the head, they need help. More shud be done for these individuals.

Games are made for fun, and they are fun!
If I play a game and realize I don't have a good time playing it, then I turn it off and sell it right away..that hasn't happened yet though

Of course games are made for fun! They are means of entertainment, and sold so that we can spend our free time doing things we enjoy. Some games can have educational value too, but all in all are games made for entertainment and fun. And I'm sure that's how we all like it.

Games are fun and Im sick of it when they are used as scapegoats for peoples actions. Its like movies and music, its the individual who is responsable for their actions, not the product.

Games are fun because you can play them with other people and are great ways of reliving stress.

Um, it'd be weird if playing a game would have an effect with people that would cause them to think or act differently. Games are meant for fun! Like Rydia said, it's also viewed as means for escaping reality.

However, I know that there are some people who do act and think differently by playing games. An example would be Dungeons and Dragons. I've never played it, but I have heard many bizarre stories from people.
