Game Like it or Hate it

I usually refrain from writing up what I like about the game seeing as I could go on for quite some time so I'll just post a few negatives.

I didn't like how there was a lack of sidequests spanning the entire game. VIII and IX had the card game, X blitzball but in VII it was either a trip to Goldsaucer which wasn't the most accessable place in the game or go the game without playing minigames.

Some of the characters involvement too. Yuffie and Vincent are optional, but if they are included I would have thought there would have been more emphasis on their motives for risking themselves globetrotting with the others.
