Freya and Amarant - happy couple??

None of my friends seem to think that Freya and Amarant should be together, and I totally think they should.

They of course argue that Freya still loves What-the-hell-was-his-name-you-know-the-guy-you-meet-in-Cleyra-and-whom-has-lost-his-memory, but Cloud loves both Aeris and Tifa, so why shouldn't Freya love both Amarant and Mr-don't-expect-me-to-write-all-that-out-again.

Also, when they owned the fire guardian together, they both probably regarded it as some sort of romantic meal, being as they are well hard.

Anyway, leave your thoughts.

Well anyway, I don't think I can see them as a couple. =/ I don't know, I guess I like the idea of Freya being in love with what's-his-face. I thought it was a tragic sorta love, but still romantic. And as for Amarant...I just don't see him as the romantic type, lol.

Wait, did they even have romance blooming between them? I can't seem to remember...it's been so long since I played the game.
 
since you made a poll and i voted i feel obligated to explain why i voted no:

One - Freya and amarant arnt even the same species - ones a rat thing the others.....slightly blue o_0

two - the characters arn't even developedenough or shown together to really get any sense of connection between them

three- i felt that at the fire shrine they respected each other as fellow warriors.
 
Erm i doubt that they had any feelings for each other than repect for one another and in alexandria they wanted to fight each other before zidane came in tos top them, plus

so theres not much hope for Amarant unless he wants a bit of quina.........

I knew I saw this topic earlier when I didn't have time to reply to it and came looking for it later. I checked the FFIX section up and down and couldn't find it until I spotted it in the FF General section. I'm gonna move this to the FFIX section since both characters in question come from that respective game.

As for the topic question, no marant and Freya do not belong together. Freya has Sir Fratley, even though he's got his amnesia, and Amarant is a Bounty Hunter/Bouncer. He's made it perfectly known throughout the game that he has the motto "On My Own", and I just can't see him settling down with anyone, especially not Freya.
 
I prefer to think of them as very deep and thoughtful characters that can connect on a certain level - but never romantic.

Plus I think Freya's background story with that Dragon Knight is just too deep, and obviously a very important part of her character.

Also - Amarant is a loner-type character.

Still I think they are two of the most insightful character in any of the FF games, and they have many similarities.
 
Amarant and Freya? That would be funny...
But some people say that if Amarant stayed with someone it would be Lani.
 
I'd have assumed it to be a mutual respect for one another's personality, emotions, and skill. Warriors tend to have that kind of dignity towards eachother. Yes, I know, Amarant isn't technically a warrior. >.>

But being together? I'd hardly think it were plausable.
 
Freya and Amarant? No no no. Lol.
For starters they have two completely different personalities. Amarant is a stubborn loner, and Freya is more team oriented. She even shows spite towards his "I'll do everything my way" attitude.

That's exactly what i've always said. They're both loners and they're both bounty hunters. They're perfect for each other. Freya should stick with Fratley
