Ok, well we seem to have a few graphical geniuses here, so I wanted to share some of my creations with you all.... I welcome all comments and feedback and any ideas for improvement. Oh and I used Photoshop Elements 5.0 for these :D

This was my very first creation.

Wow they're all good, I think my favourites would have to be the Dragon Quest VIII one and the second shadow hearts covenant one. Good work! I can't really think of anything else to say since I'm not a GFXer or anything. :P

Im gonna be honest and say I dont like any of them

They could do with some blending and in some of them the half transparent pictures just seem VERY odd.

If you want my advice, take some tutorials over at deviantart.com

But on the up side you like charmed :D

Yup i am a Charmed fan :D

To be honest, I provided the ones I made a year ago before I even knew what I was doing with Photoshop... A lot of the later ones, after Shiva, were made only last month when I was experimenting with different techniques, before I settled on the feather technique.

when I blended using the gradient tool I found it took out too much of the picture making them more transparent which is what you commented on :D

I've found even when I use the feather it is too random so if I don't like the effect I just start it again. But sometimes I just settle.

Thanks Master Vivi :D

My favourite ones have got to be The Dragon Quest, Shadow Hearts Covenant and Final Fantasy IX ones. I really like the Smallville one too (The last one I posted as an image and the first one I made this year!)

Im not really a fan either sorry. I see youre using elements. Thats more for photography than graphic creaton. I recomend going and getting cs2 or cs3. Youl see huge improvement.
24 fan are you?? Awesome :)

I'm not creating graphics though, I'm manipultaing images... I don't add a background, I blend the images together back ground and all. I get an actual photo and merged them together so by adding a few photos I get my banner. Which is why I went for Elements, cos I heard it was better to smooth the edges of the images and manipulate them so that they overlap without any dodgy edges like on the earlier creations, it was only after experimenting with the techniques I found the style I liked the best. I never looked at tutorials I just went through a stage of trial and error.

Just wanted to stop by, I made a shiny new banner... Infact I made lots of new ones but I'm really liking this one!! :)

Looks good man i like how uv done the ff7 ac text, i like the lifestream in the back aswell.
Id maybe remove the 'cloud where are you text and try putting something else in there, it looks a little off seein as the ff7 text is centered.
Good work.

This Rikku one is amazing I think. =)

As well as your X wallpaper.

Those are my faves outta the bunch. Just keep working! ^^
@ Rikku one
The images you mixed are fantastic and the background is pretty as well
though, the text is hard to read.

@X wallpaper
Very nicely done i think. The images you used were great and fit very well together.

I see that your doing much better so keep it up =)

I'll only comment on one piece, since I think I'll be repeating myself a lot if I went through everything xD

This has to be my favourite piece by you, everything seems to work, although there are a few places where the effects go over her face a bit, but I do like it. I like how they all seem to flow into one image, and I like the pop out Rikku - very nicely placed. It could have worked better without the text, as I think it's a bit overkill, but overall, a very nice piece.

Keep up the good work Freddy ^^

I would strongly recommend reading some basic tutorials. You seem to just be mashing photos together and then slapping some text on the final piece. Try and work with higher quality stocks reduce the number of focal points.

For example, in the "Realize" LP, you blended the photos together but it looks odd when half her mouth is sticking out of her forehead. Also, I don't know where to look. The blended stocks on the sides? The effects in the middle? Or maybe the text at the bottom?

Overall, my advice: better stocks and tutorials for better composition.
