Some ideas.

  • May wanna disallow some/all usergroups to access TT, Album access, and Social Group Access, now that they must be bought.
  • Add an item that allows both 150px height and 150px width for avatars, say, for 800 Gil (or whatever). Just a tad cheaper than the total 1000 Gil members would have to pay otherwise.
  • Buy Profile Privacy.
  • Indefinite Theft Immunity for a much higher price.

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I have for now. ^_^

Mitsuki - Wrong forum. Feedback and Suggestions, please. >_<

Personally agree with the avatar widthxheight combo, it's a little pricey, so a combination would be nice to have.

Profile privacy can be set, as far as who can leave you a visitor message etc. Its under settings, where it'll allow you to only receive VMs from friends.

Suppose I should've elaborated on that one. I meant that it could be bought instead of being an available option right away.

making profile privacy as a buy only item is not a very good idea.
Some people are just private people and don't want anyone to see their profile or have just anyone post on it etc and if they're new members and stuff, they wont be able to afford it right away.

So no to that, but the rest are ok I guess :hmmm:

I completely understand where you're coming from with this. Privacy is to be respected. Nonetheless, if it were to be added, I'd suggest making it cheap.

Anyway, glad you like the rest. ^_^

Thanks for your suggestions, Nightfade. :)

I was a little confused about your request regarding TT, because as far as I know it's already set up so that anyone can view the system (this is because sometimes I'll link a few historical matches outside FFF) but cannot play until they actually purchase the item in the shop. But I checked your usergroup (Junior Member - less than 25 posts) and sure enough you guys were able to play the game without having to pay, which was not intended. I'm not sure what happened there or if it was accidentally changed, but the rest of the usergroups are unable to play unless they buy the permission. Fixed that, might have been an oversight on my part.

Album access - are you able to use this even without purchasing the permission? :hmmm:

Social Groups - This is set to 'No View' only for all usergroups, but once they purchase, it should let them view and use the Social Groups.

Currently there's no pre-defined item type for avatars, so I can't actually create a combination item like I was able to for the combo-usertitle items. I can, however, lower the price to 300. The reason for being expensive is that before the shop update, there were only a few items available in the shop. The avatars were originally meant for veteran usergroups only (since many were voicing out the fact that they had no incentive for reaching the vet status), and at the time, attaining 500 Gil can be achieved in about a month if one is pretty active. Taking into account that veteran status requires one year membership + 1,000 posts, it was a reasonable price for non-veterans should they choose to buy it. But I will change the price because there are now many more items to buy in the shop.

Profile Privacy - I think this should probably be left alone. I dare not intervene when it comes to someone's choice of privacy and what they want others to see on their profile, etc. Hope you understand.

Indefinite Theft Immunity - This I can definitely do.

Thanks again for all the suggestions, let me know if you think of anything else. ;)

Albums: As far as I could tell, it was allowing me to create an album? Anyone else confirm or deny?

Avatars: You should be able to accomplish both width and height with the "Usergroup Permissions (Values)" item on the admin side of the shop.

Privacy: No worries. Haha.

I see what you mean now. There's five specific fields for item types. I guess I'm so used to creating items that only requires filling out one field type, it didn't register right away, haha. Thanks for that, I'll set it up soon.

I'll do a test with the albums and fix this shortly.

Albums - Same issue with the TT. The rest of the usergroups were set to 'No View' for Albums, but Junior Members were able to view and use the feature. It's fixed now though.

I guess I would love to emphasize greatly on the Usergroup Permissions (Value) items. There can be so much variation there, it's ridiculous. (I assume more PM storage was used that way, for instance.)

For the Stealing options, I think the penalty for an unsuccessful theft should be harsher. 5% isn't really even a slap on the wrist. Haha.

Ah shoot, I was doing some tests with stealing about a week ago and completely forgot to set that back. I think I'll set it for 10% rather than 15% though. With 15% it took a huge chunk of Gil from my bank, which kinda makes the steal feature pretty useless if people are going to avoid it. It certainly made me want to avoid it... :wacky:

I think we're pretty set with the Usergroup Permission (value) item. Looked at it a few times, but there isn't really anything else that I can think of.

Some more.

  • Allow regular, non-junior members to buy veteran member status for a nice chunk.
  • Some useless FF memorabilia. (Weapons, items, etc.)

I think veteran usergroup should be left as is, due to that it's a special usergroup (they have access to a private forum to chill, etc) meant for the dedicated members for sticking around and staying active by posting. It wouldn't really be fair if other usergroups can simply purchase this, especially since people can do donations, etc. I saw that there's an option to buy a usergroup, but I can't really think of a reason to use it. Maybe I can utilize it for a forum event or part of a Survivor challenge (an event held every year, around April), but probably nothing permanent since I'm personally not a fan of adding more usergroups for many reasons. =P

I can add more FF memorabilia tomorrow when I have more time. :)

That's why I mentioned the hefty price tag. IF a member can afford it, they would've surely been around for a while anyway.

Regardless, it's only an idea. I throw them out there as I think of them. :lew:
