What do you all think of her, and more importantly, her music?
I love it personally; I think I like her second album (Ceremonials) more than her first, (Lungs).
My favourite song at the moment is either Only If For The Night or Never Let Me Go. :busta:
 
i love her. i thought her first album was much better though, there were more stand out tracks on it. i do like the arcade fire feeling that ceremonials has though, but a lot of the album just seems to blend together. not that i think it's bad, just not as good as lungs.

My younger sister, who's a fanatical Florence fan, feels the same. She said it stood out more for her - and was far less 'throwaway'. Maybe I haven't listened to Lungs enough, I only really got into Florence not long before Ceremonials. What are your favourites of hers?
 
the drumming song and rabbit heart. they're both electric when she does them live, especially drumming song because she really gets into it.

i think i pretty much agree exactly with your sister :hmmm:

I won't deny my sister has amazing taste, probably better than mine. xD
I like Drumming Song quite a bit - one of my faves I have heard off of Lungs.
 
Florence is an extremely talented singer, the song Cosmic Love off the Lungs album is one of my favourite songs.
I enjoyed Ceremonials, though she tends to echo/layer/chorus her voice too much. The rare moment when her voice comes through clean and alone is truly magical. Great lyrical content too, all her songs tell a story or touch some part of the emotion.

Oh I love Cosmic Love! It was my favourite at one point, but then I listened to it too often and it lost it's magic. :(
Definitely a brilliant song though. Florence's lyrics are fabulous, I will agree. :)
