Final Fantasy XIII slightly worse on Xbox 360 [2/16]

I'm loving the gaffes creating but SE at the moment. They're worrying so much about the supposive perception between the PS3 and 360 they're falling over themselves to show it's not the case whilst making it worse. It's like a 3 stooges sketch.

I doubt anyone really cares, and maybe expected the PS3 to be slightly better anyway, given the blu-ray and the fact FF has been a sony product for years. It's keeping me midly amused though.

While a top notch side-by-side comparison of the PS3 and 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII has yet to be published by any of the major gaming sites, we have the strongest indication (through analysis), that the PS3 version remains the superior of the two.

A user known as MazingerDUDE, who performs tasks for well respected analysis website Digital Foundry, has revealed that through a study of recent Xbox 360 and PS3 screenshots, that the 360 version actually runs at 576p, which is not HD resolution.

WTF that is pretty bull shit who has heard of a game that is released for the 360 that isn't 720p or more

all the other news aswell made me sad face
i am suprised yet at the same time i'm not suprised games released for the both consoles normally has better texures and looks more crisper on the 360,
though the origanal coding for the game was made for the PS3 which is why it dont look as good

I could care less if the 360's graphics are slightly inferior. It's the STORY that makes and RPG, not how pretty it looks. Heck, they could release this game with SNES graphics and that still won't affect weather or not I liked it.

Heck XII had great graphics but the game was so boring that I gave up completely on it and put in IV D:

I knew this was coming. But doesnt it matter what size TV you have?? Dunno, just a thought. Ive got to get it on 360 as I dont have a PS3. Doesnt matter what they say, Im going to get this game and enjoy it.

It doesn't look like it affects things very much, specially if you don't have an HD setup anyway. Seems like if you have a PS3, great, get it for PS3, but if you have a 360 and no PS3, then get that version without much of a big loss. I think it's mostly the hardcore "My favorite system is the BEST!!!!" crowd that is really digging this issue far more than the common gamer like you or me.

Insomniac Games community head James Stevenson has admitted he sees FFXIII on PS3 as “superior” to the 360 version.

His comment came as he praised SCEA’s Q1 line-up for this year. He said in a tweet:

“PS3 is having a rockin’ 1st q: MAG, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, and soon MLB10:The Show, GOWIII and the superior version of FFXIII“

But he wasn’t off on a fanboy spree. Instead, he was also full of praise for BioWare’s Mass Effect 2. Not so much love for Wii, mind.

“Fair enough, the 360 also got Mass Effect 2, now one of my all-time favorites from this gen. Plenty of good gaming. Except on Wii.”

Last night, the first ten minutes of FFXIII in English got out, while Square officially released new videos showing the collector’s edition for both PS3 and 360.

Game’s out on March 9, two weeks today.

Ugh.... i HAVE BOTH 360 AND PS3 but I want to buy it on Xbox 360 and I dont want this kind of news stopping me. The GAMES are exactly the same shit. This is just people dissing the 360 vesion because OMG its The fist FF RPG on 360 lets DISS it! Well you know what people who say that can go Die >_> Im getting it for 360 because I like Xbox more than ps3 The graphics are ALMOST the same who cares of a slight difference. "Omg im not gonna play the 360 version cause it has 0.1% worse graphics" Well GTFO 360 dissers.

Maybe someone bought a ps3 in Japan 2 years ago only because he wanted to be able to play FFXIII and is now bitter because it is apparantly also getting released for the console which he already owned since many years back.

Seriously though, if you don't care that's great but you getting this mad over something as trivial as graphic comparison really makes me think that you do care and that it upsets you that someone claims the 360 version has inferior graphics. Also why are you assuming that everyone who compares ps3 to 360 and concludes that 360 is inferior in any way at all is a 360 disser? I'm not trying to be rude here but all the talk about 360 fanboys isn't very surprising.
