Did you sign up to get the Final Fantasy XIII Chocobo avatar item from Microsoft? A code should be sitting in your e-mail inbox. Didn’t? Codes are already on eBay.

The chocobo avatar accessory, which Microsoft gave out for free, can cost up to $99.99. Shipping is free! Surprisingly, people are buying these. One code sold for $50.

I don't have an XBOX 360, but to have this Chocobo Code implemented, you need to have an XBOX 360, right? And if you have an XBOX 360, you can get this code for FREE, right? -__-

I don't get it - were these Chocobo Codes only in limited quantity? Were they only available for a certain amount of time?
 
Yes, the codes were given out today and you had to sign up for it before today in order to get your code.

If you didn't sign up before then, you lost your chance. People got extra codes and since the Chocobo avatars aren't being given out by Microsoft for free anymore, they're considered rare and are selling on eBay.

And now those greedy eBay sellers want $50 for their codes.

Hahahah Im so happy to have mine alreasd xD what a cute chocobo etc etc. Its that rare wow im so glad I had mine free cause I signed up for one before but did not tweet lol :gasp:

It's just some little item you can place on your Xbox 360 avatar. Why it's selling for that much is beyond me :wacky: It was free to begin with by tweeting a certain message but I think that's expired now. It'll only be $5 or so eventually on the marketplace then those people who spent $100 odd will be GUTTED! :ryan:

It's adorable, and it's a chocobo. FF fans love chocobos and people that like adorable things will just love to look at it and want it as a little pet.

I wouldn't pay that much, but I can understand the appeal it has. I guess super-rich FF fans / chocobo lovers wouldn't mind paying that sort of money for a code, but I can imagine most wouldn't do this.
