Final Fantasy VII Remake

Depends, a remake of FF7 will not be a completly one. As you know, they will never do a remake without changing more things that just the graphics. Some people says that is the best to change a little of this and a little of that, but, personaly I think that to be a completly re-make they should just improve the graphic thing. I've loved everything on Ps1 and I really don't care about graphics in a way to play better, it's only to apreciate more the characters and the fields. Are you getting? Fantastic Midgar showing. My answer remains unchanged even though I have thought about this again. If they change nothing but improving the graphics and maybe adding some voice-overs, then yes. Otherwise no
 
I’m totally behind the idea of a FFVII re-make. Reliving the memories from ’97 when I first played the game would be awesome. Revisiting the Gold Saucer in 3D – imagine that? Of course however, the battle-system would need some fine-tuning. Maybe a Kingdom Hearts style fighting system!? The music should definitely stay the same, and the story should be left respectively untouched. Everything else should be redefined and overhauled.

I have wanted this for years even b4 the tech demo i would love to see the game that started me off loving ffs in the graphics that are available these days plus it is the best storyline best battle system best magic system ect doas ANY1 know if there is guna be 1 yet or wat?

I wish I could say I do, but unfortunately, no confirmation on a remake yet, but they'd truly be stupid to pass up the sales they would make if they remade Final Fantasy VII, I just cannot emphasize that enough.

C'mon Square Enix, do the right thing! 300th post btw. :)
 
Really do hope they will consider a remake for it. With good voice over and better graphics of course.

I hope they have already made it and are jus keeping us in suspense coz if they look at all this n stuff and then start making it it will take years so lets keep the hope up:)

I've always wanted a remake to my favorite final fantasy of all time, with good graphics and voice overs, but without changing the plot or anything else ^_^
 
Well I would have a re-make with the all improved graphics, voice overs (from advent children). But I would like a bit more to do on the story like put a few more bits in the story that could boost gaming time. Like when you go to Gongaga (if spelt right) you talk to Zack's Parents. Yet Cloud doesn't know, there should be a bit where you have to like understand what happened and his relation to Cloud like mini-sub-story I don't know but I hope you get the picture. I'd like the battle system tweaked maybe to the style of FFX's cause that was good. But the rest should be left.
I hope a remake comes soon!
 
i think a remake would be brilliant, as it is one of the best final fantasy games released and would most likely benefit from a remake to release it to a new generation of gamers. also, with the higher capabilities of the new consoles, the game could be vastly improved on the original (better graphics, voice overs, improved battle animations)
 
i hope they do a remake of it, as re-releasing it on the new generation consoles will benefit the game to no end, as there can be improved graphics, voice overs in game, the battle system can be improved. also, it will release the game to a new generation of gamers, meaning a whole new generation can get hooked on the game as loads of us have done
 
I really do want a remake of Final Fantasy VII. I think it would bring a whole new generation to the Final Fantasy series. Honestly, I didn't play FFVII for a long time only because of the graphics. I understand that they were great at the time, but I still didn't like the fact that Cloud had Popeye arms and all he had on his face were two eyes. By remaking FFVII, you'll get rid of peoples' procrastination of playing just because it had, by today's standards, sucky graphics. People will really see how truly amazing FF is and will start to be hooked on it.
 
hell yes I want a remake. the original is always gonna be awesome, but it would be cool to see some of the places from FFVIII in PS3, especially Midgar!
 
:ohshit:Ok. Let's go through this. A game is not made entirely great by graphics. Yes they help a bit, but if you were into the series enough to play the game, you would have finished VII just to experience the amazing story-line. I still play the older games like I-VI even though the graphics suck, but most of them have good story lines and are just overall a fun experience. So, don't knock graphics before you experience the game. Anyway, a remake wouldn't be a bad idea. I'd like to see what the PS3's system could do for a game like FFVII, as long as they don't change anythigna bout the storyline

This is part of the problem though... People may start to play the new FF7 for the wrong reasons. People may play it because of the stunning graphics, and still not care for the story, music, gameplay or general atmosphere.
If the original team got back together and made only a graphical improvement, then I could live if they do one... But if they start making it with FF12's battle system, linear style, no world map, no airship, crap music, fewer comedy, and less magical quality than the original, then I'll be a very sad man indeed. Even if the masses are happy because they have pretty graphics to look at...

The masses seem to almost always get wha they want because it makes the company money. I am beginning to wonder if a remake is a good thing for FF7 because of what the previous poster above just stated. To be honest I would rather play the original game, while the thought of a remake sounds enticing I would rather play the orignial for the reason that it had humor, Nobuo Uematsu music and it possesses a charm to it that separates from other JRPGs.
 
I would like that very much, as long as they leave the damn plot alone. A new battle system is still considerable, since that might actually add a fresh touch to the game, along with the graphics and voiceovers.
 
Remake FF7

I really hope they do remake the game. The choppy graphics from the PS one need to be justified in a totally brand new version that will make you shed a tear when you see it again.
