Tactics Final Fantasy Tactics - Discussion Thread

I never played FFTA so I don't know about that, however Final Fantasy Tatics was a no brainer, this was without a doubt, one of the best Final Fantasy games of all time. I never had so much fun playing this game, and the customizations where quite cool...although there where some ridiculous classes, like Samurai, Monk, Ninja, Mime, etc, or Orlandu with his HolySwordsman capabilities.

Still, I loved this game, and in my opinion, the two single cheapest classes in the entire game are the two assassins with Elmdor, forgot their names, but the stop bracelet attack, Stich etc where just downright stupid. I gamesharked the game just to try their class out, and wow...Stop Bracelet and Stich Lands 100% on everysingle character except for Bosses. Of course after that, Orlandu is up there, with Excalibur, he's a complete monster.

Agrias was never that overpowered, because her walking, jumping abilities weren't all that great, but her biggest handicap was her speed...for crying out loud, she was so slow, even if you gave her an accessory with Haste on. Ramza was one of the best though, he was just simply too versatile and his stats where above average as well, making him a very strong character...now if he had like...Sword Skill Attacks, he would've been able to of rivaled Orlandu.

I loved FFTatics.

This game easily stands beside widely known strategy games such as disgaea and phantom brave, although some people, like my friend, are too stubborn to try it out, claiming disgaea to be better. Sure, it's on the PS2, but FFT can be just as good, if not even better!

Give Excalibur to anyone else, and they are more dangerous though not as dangerous as Orlandu. I gave Orlandu the Save the Queen and Argrias, Excalibur just to depower hyper Orlandu.

Ramza is dangers with his accumulation Squire ability. Just have him run around the map accumulating for awhile, a long while, and he could punch the living daylights out of anybody with one hit.

Final Fantasy Tactics is my absolute favorite FF.I remember renting it one day a long time ago, just to see if I would like it.Holy frak,I was blown away.I kept trying to tell my friends to play it,but when I used the word 'chess',they stopped listening. So I played alone and finished. Then I immediately started a new game with a strategy guide so I could get things I missed, and it was a whole new experience.I've played it through about 6 times total over the years since then, and I still pull it out now and then just to play a few random maps. Now if we could get a decent sequel............

Wow I loved this game a lot. The only other final fantasy I actually really got into. It had a great story line. Loved the battle system. Cool ways of customizing my characters and so on. I wish they would make an actuall second part.

Yeah, I took the Excalibur from Orlandu and gave it to Agrias. It balanced things out, if only just a little. Out of the knight swords I actually like Defender a lot, but I don't even remember where I got it.

Reading this makes me wanna play Tactics again. I started playing it about three years ago and I was intrigued, but something came up and before I knew it, I've forgotten about the game entirely. =/ I love how that game was developed though, especially the battle systems. Sometimes it'll take me close to an hour to finish one battle. ^_^

ff tactics

i like the ff tactics when my brother first played it
i was stuck with the "Queaklain" thingy
well it was fun playing that though:)
when i saw that boss i was like:blink: because of it's looks

I think that every battle makes you gain some HP, not including what the armors gives you, or the random battles where you can steal advanced armors of the story ( so, more HP , DEF and stuff ).. but with all this, it helped me a lot to win easily at riovannes or limberry.

About the game, I guess everyone said it x)!!! , but I will say it too: this game is friggin' AWESOME !!!!!!!!!! *_*

Yeah, Queklain is pretty gross. The only real problems he causes are Sleep and Death Sentence, though (I think), so if you have the accessory that nullifies those he isn't hard at all.
