I am aware that Final Fantasy fans outside Japan have to resort to piracy to get Final Fantasy music. It shows that Final Fantasy music outside gaming is emerging fast in the United States. Square Enix should strike a deal with us and having its Final Fantasy OSTs made available for Western Final Fantasy fans to enjoy, as it is with their Japanese counterparts, thus legally. We do not want to have to resort to piracy to listen to Final Fantasy, because we do not want to suffer copyright threats from Square Enix. It is a shame that we Western Final Fantasy fans have to do so. One way to have it available for Americans is through U.S. based online music services, such as Rhapsody and Yahoo! Music. One way is through official Final Fantasy music iPods. I am aware that Square Enix just heightened its efforts to crackdown on intellectual property infringement. We will have to respond by striking a deal that would stop non-availability that would necessitate intellectual property infringement. Square Enix has brought piracy on itself anyway. I want the necessity of music piracy involving the Final Fantasy series to end.

I have the FFVII soundtrack and thats not a pirate copy, I got it off ebay

Getting the OST off of eBay is sort of difficult. When it comes to importing, we may be force to pay hefty import charges. That is making the situation worse. We need to have the Final Fantasy OSTs made legally available to American Final Fantasy fans, so that we will not have to resort to online copyright infringement. It could be on U.S. based online music services. Square Enix should strike a deal to with us, having the fans vote in favor of the idea.

Well it was only 15 quid including p&p I think. But what about the British market? If your gunna get on your high horse about 'being left out' what about the rest of us?
I personally had no trouble finding soundtracks for any of the games on Ebay really, although I haven't checked recently. If people are gunna resort to piracy then they are gunna do it anyway I expect

It is a shame that it is necessary for the Western Final Fantasy fanbase to resort to piracy to get access to Final Fantasy music. I had enough of that, and I am getting aware of Square Enix's anti-piracy efforts, which do more harm than intended good. We need to strike a deal to have the Final Fantasy OSTs made available for Western Final Fantasy fans to enjoy legally. Square Enix is taking anti-piracy too far. We must stop the Square Enix copyright war, but it may take years to do so.

paying more than 10 dollars for an album/soundtrack is absurd to me. I could probably buy the game with the music in it instead, and have it ripped off the game anyway.

that, or just download it for free.

I picked my FF soundtracks at anime coventions in the UK over the last few years. The OSTs for FFVII-FFIX are £30 each, but when you bear in mind it's 4 CDs each, that's pretty good value. So I managed to get hold of those OK.

Not all the Final Fantasy soundtracks, including the Final Fantasy XII soundtrack, were released to iTunes. I demand that the Final Fantasy XII OST, as well as the Final Fantasy III DS OST, be released to iTUnes. I would also like for Final Fantasy OSTs to be released to other online music services, such as Rhapsody and Yahoo! Music services.

I could link you to both those, but you'd just find something new to complain about.

You DEMAND it? And what'll you do if they don't? Cry and make more stupid threads complaining that they won't listen to your demands? And who the hell uses Rhapsody or Yahoo music? Those things are crap.

Quit complaining for god's sake, I've downloaded every single OST besides IX and X and nothing ever happened to me. Just find a P2P program that's safer than bittorent or limewire or whatever. Boo hoo, you can't buy your OSTs online. Get them on ebay. It's more fun to own the actual OST anyway cuz they usually come with nice artwork and stuff.

Actually, we CAN buy our Final Fantasy OSTs online. The services for that include AnimeNation.com and GameMusic.com. You can order them through check or money order.

There is popular demand for Final Fantasy OSTs to be made available via legal easy access for non-Japanese Final Fantasy fans. I am aware that Square Enix is taking anti-piracy too far when it comes to Final Fantasy music.

Then why the hell are you complaining? Buy them from those sites, buy them from itunes, buy them from the SE store, buy them from GK World, buy them from ebay.

You complain more than I do and act like a child. You write off relationships after one bad experience in highschool and you demand that SE sell certain OSTs. Like they're going to pay attention to the demands of some loner who won't even get a driver's license and thinks games are all he'll ever need in life.

And cry me a river about anti-piracy. You're just trying to make it sound like they don't want poor little old you to have their music.

I got FFVIII OST back in 2002 from a site called KingKats or TopKats. It was in the back of a UK gaming magazine. Cost me £60 back then including p&p. Still have it, its a decent copy.

Ebays good for getting them also. How its meant to be difficult I dont know!

I forgot to mention, alot of times game shops that are privately owned will sell imports, from OSTs to action figures. They're really not that hard to come by. And if all else fails dl them from Blue Laguna.

I'm still not sure just what it is you're complaining about, Tedius...you probably think some evil woman is running SE and has it out for you with her feminist "BWUAHAHA! NO OSTS FOR U!" tactics.

This is funny. I got the OST's of FF6-FF11 (a while ago) for £50 including P&P, which I consider pretty good price considering it was being shipped from Japan. All work amazingly well, so I have no complaints.

I can understand wanting easier access to it, but likely you'd still have to order it within the shops, because they wouldn't order many in due to lack of demand. Overall, it'd probably work out quicker and cheaper to import it.

That was the name of the site. Yeah I mostly use Blue Laguna as they have a great stock of OSTs avaliable to download. Great site.

How about you actually get out of your house and find them. Or download them like I did, its better than NOT having them. Also stop repeating yourself, tis sad.

Just got the FFVI OST and Grand Finale in a matter of minuets. Well enjoying it.
