Would it be a good thing if Square Enix went and did a film adaptation of FF7 using the cast from AC and the CGI technology they used for that film into making a film remake of the game? What are your thoughts on this?

Ummm, This game has too much to fit into 2 hours.
 
The game could make an excellent film but like he said although normally whenever there is a film adaption they shorten the story anyway.
 
They could make it 3 hours.. buuut I think that they are already over-using FFVII and they should just stick to what they have and remake it..
 
Another FFVII movie...nahhh i think the ones we got are enough, and a remake movie of the original FFVII would probably ruin the gameplay to me.

Just let things be Square.

First of all. They could make it 3 hours long, and divide it in a trilogy... Why is everyone so shortsighted about the fact there isn't enough room in 2 hours to tell the story?

Everyone's making trilogies these days.

But I wouldn't want to see the game into a movie really.
 
I would love to see some kind of trilogy actually based on the story of FFVII.

Advent children has learnt me that square is capable of putting the fighting into nice scenes. And the story shouldn't be a problem if they dont leave too much parts of it out.
 
I do not like the Idea of CGI, it should be live action. If it was going to be any good, they would have to get big name directors such as Peter Jackson, to combine forces with the people who worked so hard on FF7.
 
i think it would be cool to watch, so you could actually see the expressions on peoples face. like itd be nice to see just how angry cloud gets when sephy kills aerith.
