Final Fantasy Dissidia: The return of the Rift

As Chaos was defeated and the heroes returned to their worlds, the last ounce of Exdeath’s will brought on a great mass of the void. This collected energy reversed the events that had occurred, reviving Chaos and causing Shinryuu to ‘reset’ the world. The heroes returned with more in number, as did the villains all with no memory of what had occurred, only Cosmos and Chaos remembering everything. With their goal set before them yet again, the heroes and villains set off once again to eliminate the other.

Rules
No choosing both the protagonist and antagonist of a certain game, so no having Cecil/Golbez etc.

No choosing to control two characters that you intend to have face off.
When you encounter another character you wish to fight, you can only participate in duels, this includes 1 vs 2, 2 vs 2 etc. You can fight in the same area but not directly assist one another.

EX modes are highly limited and will be awarded to those who display good grammar (to a readable level at least) show good descriptive skills in and out of battle as well as a good understanding of god moding/power playing. Those who are awarded an EX mode will have it added to this post and can be freely used whenever you wish, either for battle or to serve as a plot point (discuss in PM in advance)

When using an EX Burst this will have killing intent, so speak to the RPer of a character you are going to EX Burst before posting. Characters can be revived as long as their god (Cosmos/Chaos) is strong, if one side begins to weaken or their god is killed this capability is lost and death really means death.

While the gods are available, note that Cosmos is not a battle character and Chaos has to be fought in a group, he’s a god after all xD

While the story appears small, those of the Villain roles will be recieving PMs about some inner goings on they are free to reference to the heroes as they so wish.

Those wishing to make Original Characters will need to have another RPer make a character who has some form of emotional connection to them, even something as simple as a deep rivalry will suffice. This will only apply until the RP starts, after which this option is closed off.

Interactions with each other are greatly encouraged, despite being based on a fighter that doesn't mean everyone has to constantly be fighting, story is important too ^^

Those who have yet to get far/complete FF13 I cannot promise spoilers will be completely free, there will most likely be references to Cid's role in FF13 so if you don't want spoilers, i'd advise not joining until you get sufficiently far enough to know about Cid.

Personality: Shantotto is a woman that takes great pride in her work and her mission. She is well-known for her habit of speaking in rhyme and her high-pitched, haughty laughter. She is also a person that hates to admit it when she finds someone who could be better than her in combat. She also have sort of a habit to calling people "losers" when things are just too easy.

Shantotto's outfit is a robe with black and white stripes, gold linings, two gauntlets and a pair of pointy armored shoes. Her hair is quite short due to her being a Taru Taru, where none of them have especially long hair. Her hair is tied behind her head with a blue and red clothlike hairbands, yet two portions of her hair is infront of her ears alongside her bangs that go down to her hazle eyes. She is a very short being of Taru Taru decent and therefore also have quite few features that are special to her. Her ears stands straight out in a horizontal line and are quite long and her nose is completely black which contrasts with her slightly tanned skin color.

Weapon: Claustrum – The Jewel on Shantotto's staff changes color according to the spell she casts.

Abilities:
A Couple Attack – Shantotto's initial and faveorite three hit combo that can knock the opponent away.
Retribution – Shantotto's initial aerial attack. Throws the staff as a boomerang towards the enemy to damage them.
Bio (Ground) – Shantotto fires a cloud of toxins that poisons the opponent and couses damage over time for 1/4th of a minute.
Bio (Aerial) – Exactly the same as the above only in the air.
Bind (Ground) – Traps the opponent making them unable to move. Does no damage.
Bind (Aerial) – Exactly the same as the above.
Stun (Ground) – Stuns the opponent, interrupting their current action. Does no damage.
Stun (Aerial) – Exactly the same as the above.

Due to Shantotto being a Chainspeller she is able to chain her magic with eatchother. She can only chain spells of the same rank and can not chain a lower rank spell with a higher ranked spell.

Battlefield: Windurst Walls
History of Battlefield: This quiet, residential area of Federation of Windurst provides a home away from home for some of the more respected residents of the Federation. Accessible from all other areas of Windurst, the Walls district also provides access to the North Auction House. To the extreme north of the Walls district is the abandoned House of the Hero, underneath which is a hidden and guarded passageway into the Toraimarai Canal.
Description of Battlefield: The battling would take place in the middle of the Windurst Walls, straight infront of the Heaven's Tower which is the great tree in the middle of the walls. The mansions of great Tarutaru are arround the tree including Shantotto's. The ground is completely flat and filled with bright green grass and makes a good battlefield.

History: Shantotto was born to a family of distinguished Tarutaru black mages. Her early childhood was spent "Healing the world and spreading love". As she got older her parents spent hours lecturing her on the dark arts. She practiced her black magic to utter perfection to ensure that her family line was preserved. However, when she was finally honored with the title of mage, her life took a turn for the worse when her parents were divorced and her house was destroyed - not to mention her dog shrank thanks to the shrinking potion it drank.
However, Shantotto kept true to her parent's words, and persevered to become one of the top professors of Windurst. She participated in the Great Crystal War, defending her home nation. After the war, she ascended in the ranks to become Windurst's Minister of Magic, in charge of the Windurst Department of Magic, or the Orastery. She was referred and revered by many as Professor Shantotto.
She later resigned from the Orastery, with Ajido-Marujido succeeding her. She resides at her manor in the Windurst Walls and can still be seen berating adventurers during and after sending them to quests.




Me RP'ing as Shantotto:
Shantotto walked around this great crystal like battlefield which seemed familiar to her. Wobbling around with her tiny body she managed to cross it quite swiftly due to her great speed. She did not take much attention to the water that was grazing the ground, neither did she bother to care about the green halway transparent lines floating in the sky that is connected to the ground.

"This is rather empty, and that is quite the pity."

Running feet could be heard from behind her and as she turned around she noticed a blond haired boy with two daggers in his hands jumping into the air wile spinning and landing in quite a feline fashion. However the feline traits might now have be explained as a tail was seen on his butt.

"A male mithra? Or perhaps not... Ohohohoho~"

Shantotto placed her left hand beneath her chest wile her right hand rested on it and slid beneath her mouth as she laughed with her signature high pitched laughter that would make anyone feel like less of a person. This boy seemed like a threat and she had to do something to stop this young lad from hurting her.

And as for the battlefield, you can just use an area in FF11 where Shantotto is known to hang around or some form of signature battlefield for her :gasp:

This also applies to whoever takes Vayne :monster:

Age: Unknown (looks to be in early to mid 20s)
Gender: Male
Crystal appearance: A water blue cylinder shaped crystal with rough edged on the top and bottom

Personality: A highly dutiful man with great faith and loyalty to the light. He seeks his crystal to bring an end to the conflict while encouraging his allies to do the same.

He wears a suit of light blue armour from head to toe, from the elbows, two curved spikes are visible and he has two antler style horns on his helmet. His hair is light blue and he wears a light yellowish cape which reaches his heels. His skin is caucasian in tone and flawless in complexion, from the top of his helmet a light feathery-like object can be seen reaching his hair.

Weapon: Barbarian’s Sword

Abilities:

Dayflash: A high speed 3 hit strike on the ground, low power and short range but can cover ground well

Sword Thrust: Hurls shield at enemy before charging in with a powerful slash

Ascension: Hurl shield upwards, followed by a sword combo to launch them into the air

Crossover: Aerial variation of Ascension

Rising Buckler: Hurl shield at enemy, bringing them down to you. Best used from below

Shield Strike: Hurl shield at enemy, bringing them up to you. Best used from above

Bitter End: Branching from Rising Buckler/Shield Strike, holds the enemy in place while the Warrior repeatedly hacks into them before performing a powerful lunge, knocking them away

Magic:

Red Fang: Launches a single fireball in a straight line. Poor accuracy, high speed

Blue Fang: Drops many balls of ice onto opponent, slow fall

White Fang: Brings down lightning bolts that close in on opponent, short range but strong homing

Shining Wave: Cuts into the floor before ‘scooping’ the sword up, releasing a wall of light that weakly homes in on it’s target

Shield of Light: Creates a frontal shield of light, before releasing a short range beam from it

Radiant Sword: Calls forth five swords of light that start off on weak homing, but gradually gain homing strength as they close the distance on their target

Rune Saber: Branching from ascension/crossover, releases a large gem of light that pierces the enemy in the air before creating a giant, magical variation of the Warrior’s sword

Battlefield:
Old Chaos Shrine
A tattered ruin of the former Chaos Shrine, long since abandoned it is now filled with unexplored rooms and bats. However the grand hall opens up into a giant square arena, with tapestries of the four fiends of chaos on each corner with a throne at the very back. From above the room is in a state of collapse and the pillars supporting it look ready to crumble.

History: The Warrior knows little of his past, though before Exdeath reversed time he and his friends defeated Chaos and restored the world to balance as he walked on to meet the King of Cornelia he felt a strange, indescribable pull before he found himself back in Order’s Sanctuary with the Goddess Cosmos sat at her throne. Something very wrong was going on…

The Warrior, stood within Order's Sanctuary gazed to the sky, where wisps of an almost ocean-like green substance trailed through the area. Something that gave him a feeling of nostalgia, before he could think on this he heard the sound of feetsteps behind him, turning he faced the bearer of these footprints.

Before him stood a woman with light pink hair, a white short sleeved shirt and a brown skirt. In her hand she wielded a weapon that seemed both familiar and alien to him, calling forth his sword and shield he faced this woman "Who are you? name yourself!"

Name: Cloud Strife

Crystal appearance: A materia

Personality: Cold, Stoic, and Anti-social. Cloud is always brooding all time. He does, however, care for those around him and well bravely defend his friends. He does help out people when they are in need of help solving their own problems, as that in turn helps him solve his own. He is constantly looking back at some of the more sadder points in his life, and blames himself for most, if not all the deaths in his past.

Cloud is 5'8. He has spikey blond hair that falls onto the sides of his face. He wears a SOLDIER 1st class uniform given to him by Zack Fair, an old friend. The uniform consists of purple overalls and purple, baggy pants. It has an armour ornament on the left soldier. He wears armour on his left glove, while the right glove is bare. He has black boots that come with the uniform.

Weapon: Buster Sword

Abilities: Double Cut Fast two-hit combo

Climhazzard Charge forward to stab foe, then jump up into the air and slam them down.

Fire Shoot a ball of fire that moves slowly but tracks the opponent.

Sonic Break Three-hit combo that knocks opponent away.

Fira Shoot a ball of fire at foe that explodes, medium range.

Firaga Shoot three balls of fire at opponent that spread out and explode after a short time.

Blade Beam Swing sword and release a blast of energy along the ground.

Slashing Blow Three-hit aerial combo that knocks foe away and down. Tilt thumbstick up to knock the enemy up instead.

Aerial Fang Swoops down and slashes once to knock the opponent away.

Rising Fang Jumps up and circles opponent to hit multiple times, then knock them down.

Cross-Slash Charge and swing sword three times, knocking opponent away.

Meteorain Send several meteors up into the air that rain down on the opponent.

Braver Dash towards foe to stab them, then jump up and slam them down.

Finishing Touch Jumps in the air and spins around opponent to strike multiple times, then knock them down.

Omnislash Version 5 Slashes the foe five times, then leap above them and dive down for a final strike.

Battlefield: Northern Crater. A huge crater in the Northern part of the world. It was created from an intense impact to that area, an impact that the planet deems a wound, causing the lifestream to flow towards the crater, attempting to heal it, giving it its glowing walls of mako. This impact was caused by the meteorite that in it held Jenova. Because the Northern crater is so close to the North Pole, it is a frozen wasteland.

History: Cloud was an aspiring kid trying to join SOLDIEER, an elite fighting force within Shin-ra, a power company. When he applied, however, he was turned down, due to him not having the mental capacity to be a SOLDIER. He was instead made a Shin-ra grunt. Later at Nibelheim's reactor, he and a 1st Class SOLDIER friend of his, Zack Fair, fought against Sephiroth, who had now went insane with a revelation of who he thought he really was. Sephiroth defeated Zack with ease, but was suprised when Cloud, wielding the Buster Sword, came running behind him and stabbed him with it. Sephiroth in turn, stabbed Cloud with his Masamune. Cloud, through some unknown strength, managed to take the hit and use Sephiroth's sword, which was in him, to lift Sephiroth bodily into the reactor, killing him. Zack and Cloud, incapacitated, were found and later experimented on by Professor Hojo, a Shin-ra scientist. These experiments left Cloud in a deep coma, brought on by Mako Poisoning. Harsh mako experiments were performed on them for the next 4 years. Then Zack woke up and broke free from the imprisonment and took Cloud with him to escape Hojo and Shin-ra. They were on the run for a full year until they were found. Fighting bravely against thousands of Shin-ra grunts, Zack was shot down. The grunts left Cloud, deeming him a lost cause. Zack, with his dying breath, gave Cloud the Buster Sword and told him to live life for the both of them. With everything that happened, Cloud snapped, and then took on a persona of what Zack was a SOLDIER, coupled with what he himself wanted to be. He became an "ex 1st class SOLDIER" mecenary and began to take jobs, one in particular to blow up a mako reactor......

Me Rping as Cloud

As he was walking across the battlefield, one he remebered quite well, the northern crater. he stopped and began to think. This was where he battled a great foe before. He was remembering his battle with Sephiroth. A battle that would determine the fate of the world. He remembered all of his friends Sephiroth had killed. He remembered Zack Fair, the one who gave him his large Buster Sword, the one who told him to protect his soldier honor.

"Zack....I am sorry. It was my fault. I was helpless as you tried to defend me. Even Aerith. I was useless in stopping him....Can I truly defeat my foes?"

He continued on, keeping alert for any enemy of Chaos. This wasn't easy with all the memory and doubt this place brought back. He was quetioning a certain man's intention, as he hadn't made any moves. Just then, black, raven like feathers descended upon him. He lifted his blade swiftly to stop the oncoming flurry of blows from this Silver Haired man. The man he was waiting for.

"Everything you've done, you will pay for, Sephiroth!!"

He was ready to do battle with his most hated enemy. Someone he deemed a very intense threat. He was ready to go all out against this man With Buster Sword in hand, he retaliated. He would defeat Sephiroth, he thought to himself, and he would do it alone.

Alright, firstly, while overall you have the personality right, I don't remember him being the type to prefer being alone, more the type to protect his friends (this is more how I view him so feel free to contest this if i'm wrong)

Secondly, while we know what Northern Crater looks like, a description is needed nonetheless :gasp:

As for the RPing as Cloud, he'd probably be more tortured than annoyed over memories of Sephiroth killing his friends, in particular Zack Fair

Also, from what I recall Dissidia takes place during/after the lifestream event in FF7 (as far as we can tell from his personality) so thinking Sephiroth was 'just a memory' wouldn't be so, since Sephiroth was still alive and well at this point.

If you feel i'm wrong on any points, feel free to say so, but Northern Crater at a minimum will need a description :gasp:

As I remember (Well the game is right here in my lap :wacky:) each time someone encountered Cloud, he was by himself with the exception of one time where he was with Squall, someone like him, anti-social and independent. If you need Cloud to cherish others and fight with them, that can easily be adjusted ^_^
 
Well on the whole (aside from when he went after Sephiroth, which was after finding out he had hurt Firion) Cloud was with others. When he met Terra for instance he willingly followed her to help her get her crystal :gasp:

He doesn't so much have to cherish his friends so to speak, more be there to help them when they need it. :hmmm:
 
Edited. I made him more caring toward his friends instead of always working alone.

A tall woman at five foot nine inches, Lightning is a slender, acrobatic, though wiry woman, with fearsome strength. Her hair is a light brown tinted casually with pink for a more feminine appearance. Her face is quite cold and distant, and she rarely smiles. She has almod shaped light blue eyes that appear almost translucent and pink, full lips.

Lightning wears a zip up shirt and shorts, with high boots and a holster for her weapon.

Personality: Often quite cold and distant, Lightning can often be seen as a cold hearted introvert with next to no emotions. She is in reality of quite a warm, compassionate nature, when you earn her trust. She is just rather slow to open up to others, and untrusting since the deaths of her parents. She is often cold to people she doesn't know, and can be slow to forgive, but is a warm, companionable person underneath.

Weapon: Blazefire Saber

Abilities: Launch: Launches the enemy into the air with a single strike

Tri-slash: Three swift slashes to the torso

Bullet: A single bullet from her gunblade

Magic: Ruinga: An explosive blast of white light

Thundaga: A sizzling bolt of lightning that strikes the enemy

Aeroga: A gust of powerful wind that lifts the target into the air.

Villains aren't so much priority but are appreciated nonetheless, as soon as the heroes are taken the RP can start :gasp:
 
Ah yeah sorry, been somewhat busy and such so I haven't been able to finish Kuja.. or start on him just yet. Just letting you know that *epicfails*
