Yeah just thought I'd inform that. Find it weird I couldn't find a thread on this since it's kind of a big deal. It's out for download and PSN.

Pretty odd FF releasing a demo, I guess this is an attempt to win back FFXIII haters. I'd post a link or something to make this more elaborate but I'm at work on my phone. :pikamon:

Someone remind us when it's due to be out on the PSN.

I do intend to try it just to see who it works and how the deficiencies on the first game have been corrected, or so we hope.

i manged to get a us account and download it early (people in europe don't get it til tomorrow :sad3:) this demo huge, side quests, levelling up dam u can even get better equipment XD i'm very impressed with the changes soo far people i know said it takes over 2 hours to finish

Meh, I'd just rather wait for the actual game to arrive at my doorstep on February 1st or so. I want to spoil the least amount of content as possible before playing, unlike FFXIII, where I watched every trailer, which combined shows a 5 second+ clip from every cutscene in the damn game.

Just finished the demo now myself (showed up a little after 6 p.m. EST here in Canada). It was a little under 1800 mb to download from PSN.

It was alright. I hadn't touched FFXIII for a long time, so I was fumbling with the controls a little bit, but I managed to get the hang of it quickly enough.

I think as a demo, it was pretty fulfilling. I personally spent over an hour on it, and there was a decent amount to do. If you really wanted to, you could stay in the demo and level up as much as you want, and buy whatever you want (though what would be the point...?). Plus there were already two side quests available, and I was able to do one.

Now that I've actually played a little of FFXIII-2, my opinion hasn't really changed. I'm still looking forward to it, but there's loads of stuff in here that to me didn't have the same vibe as FFXIII-but again, it was a very out of context demo; the only familiar character was Serah. I'm sure there would be a better immersion experience if I actually, you know, played from the beginning xD

Probably check it out in a week. You know, when Xbox Live lets people who don't subscribe download stuff. :monster:

Not really excited about anything Final Fantasy lately, but it will at least be something to do besides play World of Warcraft.
