Help [FFX] Dark Valefor glitch

I readed about the Dark Valefor glitch(the one that the game freezes before or after defeat him)
i whant to know if theres a way to get this done...i read that if i use another version of the game(i think im using the ffx int version jap dub)to battle him (the PAL version i think) it whont freeze at his battle...i need to get past him...to get anima...and penance....plz help!

Are you sure that it's not just your game? because tbh, i've never heard about this 'glitch' it should only be freezing if either

1) your game is messed up
or
2) your console is messed up=/

Try cleaning it?

isnt cleaning guys....did you guys even google for it? To know what is it? The glitch is well know from no PAL versions...is like the game freezes before or after the battle whit Dark Valefor...but ok...
yeah i spent many time searching in google for it...(about 24 pages) and last night i was bored and whent to the encouter again...i paused the game for a long time right before the cracking window from DV appear....then i entered battle sucessfuly and defeated DV whit yojimbo janmato XD...then i keep pausing after the battle ended....pausing each time after the battle when the dialog "stay away from the summoner" starts...i paused for many mins...and many times...i sudden the game didnt frozened....damm i got really happy....the first try in about 200 times that i passed him...but the method i used last night was unique and desasperate...but i got it!!! If anyone have the same problem and want a detailed info about how to try to get past him PM me...

How did you defeat Dark Yojimbo??? I still havent killed him, I only succeeded 2-3 times, I believe he needs to be defeated like 5 times?

i didnt defeated dark yojimbo yet...i just summoned MY yojimbo to kill dark valefor...im still training for dark yojimbo...i can hit him for 99999 but he insta kill any of my chars whit petrification+atack...

yes I used Yojimbo for every dark aeon myself as well however I killed DarkYojimbo like 3-4 times but at the last part my Yojimbo always screws up, he uses wakasashi on his own, which means he gets killed before going zanmato

I tried several times I only get to kill him 3 times then he screws up....

you can kill DarkYojimbo 4 times or 5 times, you can skip 1 battle.

Gosh, those Dark Aeons were a piece o' cake. And I never heard of that glitch, I beat him perfectly.

I kill all dark Aeons with zanmto but there one I cant kill its mags sisters there are very strong didn't they ? they kill me 100 time

Can't say I've heard of said glitch, or had it happen to me when I beat her. Must be a pretty uncommon glitch if this is the case, I've never heard anyone round these parts come creaming that they just beat Dark Valefor and their system crashed

If it was me, I'd be raging, and a rant thread would be sure to follow

The only glitch I know is the "Yojimo Instant Death Technique" glitch...and that's more based on reseting many times until he does his OHKO move.

Oh, and you are more likely to do it again to the other Dark Aeons too.

The only one I can't do it to are the Magus Sisters due to their high speed but my bro discovered how to do it, you just need a "First Strike" add-on to your armour.

I also had that problem but I was lucky enough to find a solution in the web. The glitch happens either in the scene before or the scene after the fight but it always happened after the fight to me so I don't know if this solution will work if it freezes before. Basically you beat Dark valefor and open the CD tray during the scene and then close it after some time and the scene will play normally and it won't freeze.
PS: If it's happening in the scene before the fight then try to pause, continue,pause and continue until the scene ends.( I read that it works but since that scene never froze with me I couldn't test it myself)
