Okay after spending the best part of 4 hours of gametime Drawing magic from enemies, I've had enough. There simply has to be a faster, less tedious way, of getting lots of magic this early in the game!

Seriously, I've been fighting Biggs and Wedge for over 20 minutes now. Every turn is spent Drawing Esuna.

I'm slowly starting to lose my patience with this game, and seeing as I want to give it a chance, and complete it this time, somebody help me please D=

How many spells do your characters draw each time? Like I told you earlier, if you junction up their Magic and Spirit, you'll be able to draw 9 spells each turn.

As for another method, it's using your Refine abilities through your GFs. You can refine items you've gotten from monsters, into spells, but you GF has to learn that refine ability first. Be sure to draw Siren from the Elvoret, btw.

Refining is the fastest way if you have low MAG and SPR. Since you're quite early in the game, refining mid-level magic and above should prove to be difficult; drawing is the only way at this point, in case you haven't, place draw on all three of your party members commands.

And Legolas, magic is vital for junctioning your stats; without magic, your stats will only increase if you level up which is not nearly enough. GF's lose thier usefulness at the mid-point stage of the game.

Either make sure you have a high magic stat so you draw more each time or play lotsa cards and do some refining, that's my preffered way of doing it, drawing gets boring really fast. Also if you are drawing and you fing 2 of your guys are drawing like 7 magics and one is only drawing 2, just swap your magic around your characters si you can still have all 3 drawing to save a little time

It's shit and it's one of the things I really hate about this game

Indeeeed, the higher your magic status, the more copies of that particular magic you will draw. Before long and, if you divide out your GF's properly so that everyone can junction something to their magic stat, you should be drawing 9 copies every single time.

If you only have one or two characters with the magic stat and they're drawing twice as much as the other person, remember that you can split your magic after each battle, which will hopefully give 100 to each character much more quickly.

Also, I'd recommend over-levelling before heading towards Galbadia Garden and then visiting the Grandidi Forest [the ridiculously large forest outside of Timber], where you'll be able to draw things like Break from the Cockatrice, Bio from Ochu [and pick up some tentacles, too], the [magic]-ara/aga spells, Aero or even Tornado. I had 100 tornadoes from Thrustraevis [the blue bird with four wings] on every character before that second Laguna dream.

yeah its also very hard but possible to get squalls and quistiss ultimate weapons before you go the delling just try to find ochu tentacles and long horn island with a chocobo

You know I'm gonna have tah tell you to raise you're spirit and magic as best you can then try drawing. Yeah refining can be easier to but you still need to do alot of battles to steal or actually get the items for refining. Card Mod you should learn right away and the ability Card itself. Now with these abilities you can refine ur cards good or bad into some great stuff for making magic. I remember I picked a stat to raise and went on a hunt for the items to refine the best magic to juction to that stat. Like getting 100 Quakes, 100 Curaga's and 100 Regen early in the game. It can be easy and not time consuming at all if you have the right way.

Gameshark + magic refinement items imho

But yes, as earlier stated, high magic stats will get you moar magics.
