Help [FFVI] Chests in locked room

Ok. I was just wondering how you get into the locked room at the Imperial Base.

It's during the emperor's banquet. You'll go to Albrook and troops will withdraw from South Firago and Doma, and you can then get into the locked room.
 
Hmm. What part are you in now exactly? I heard there's quite a few locked doors/houses there - just wanna make sure we're on the same page. ^^
 
I hope you have a previous save file because what you have to do is talk to ALL the soldiers (24 in total) s during those four minutes previous to the banquet. If you don't then the room won't unlock.
 
Oh yeah, I forgot about that...It might also depend on your dialog choices during the dinner as well...There's all kinds of junk you can get for doing that just right.
 
During the Imperial Palace part of the game (the bit where you go there to do the 'negotiations') certain dialog choices and defeating hostile soldiers give you 'points'. The rewards you get at the end are determined by how many points you accumulate. Troops will always pull out of South Figaro but the real rewards are troops also pulling out of Doma (alowing you to get the items there that you missed previous), storage room of the Imperial base unlocked (which is what your asking for), a Tintinabar, and (if you got the most possible amount of points) a Charm Bangle.
