FFVI Blitz Attacks

I'm at the point in the game where you fight Vargas, and I can get past the first part of the battle easily. The second part [with Sabin] where you have to use his blitz attacks to win is the part I'm stuck on. I don't know when to input the button presses for it, or ever what those buttons are. Nothing shows up on the screen except "Incorrect Blitz Input!". What buttons do I press, and when do I press them?
 
I tried that, it still gives me the "Incorrect Blitz input" error. When, exactly, do I start pressing the buttons?
 
You select the Blitz command and input Left, Right, Left and X to confirm. Try doing it at a reasonable pace, quickly but not fast so the game doesn't recognize your inputs (a lot of the 'fails' happen because of this).
 
Hold on, do you mean X on a SNES or Playstation controller? I'm playing the PS version.
 
ok, when you select blitz, dont press X again when the hand is over sabin, instead push left,right,left and then X and he should perform the blitz..

of you can have the fun i did and i did a different blitz instead of that one^^
