So I've been aware that these three games have been available on the App Store for a while now, but haven't gotten around to buying them yet. I've now decided to take the plunge and buy one, as I've never played them. Which would you say is the one with the best story?

Oh boy... The first 3 games are NES games and the story is almost NON existant. Besides the game are very old and can be quite hard to play by todays standards! They are very grindy and have lots of random encounter! But with that in mind FF2 would be the best! Final Fantasies with awesome stories start with 4!

In the story you can say II, But the ost for me is the heart of the game so i think III is better =)

I had a fear the stories would be basic, that's why I'd held off getting them :(

While I was searching I found a game called FF Dimensions though. And it was free. I've never even heard of it! Any good?

You are getting the prologue or something for free, the game itself costs 30 bucks. Thats a new release so we wouldnt know. You really need to get your hands on FF IV-V-VI-VII-VIII-IX-X if you want good stories. For how troublesome FF II may be, the story was ahead of its time so if you have no other choice give it a try.

Yeah, I got to the end of the prologue last night :(

And I've decided I'm just going to buy FFI and work my way through them.

Okay they're all pretty different in a way so-

Get FF1 if you like the Zelda style of gaming, sort of like being in a adventre, you don't mind getting lost, you enjoy tons of freedom and you don't mind much storyline and jusr rather instead focus on collecting crystals.

Get FF2 if you want to experience a change and unique, refreshing experience to the Final Fantasy battle system.

Or Get FF3 if you want to experience the job class party system and a huge challenge being the hardest of the three. :mokken:

imo I would leave FF 3 for last when you become a expert Final Fantasy player and try FF1 or FF2.

III has arguably the hardest bosses in any ff game, even has the hardest side boss in any FF game.
