FFF Monster hunt

Hydra noticed the activity, and saw his partner heading for the monster. He took out one of his daggers, but let Cairn take on the Fang.
Okay, he saw it first, so it's his... however, Fangs don't usually travel as lone wolves... Unless they're Alpha Fangs, which isn't the case. Right, so I'll wait for the rest of the pack.
When Hydra saw them, he was able to deduce that his speed was higher than the wolves, and instead of killing them he toyed with them. First, he stole whichever items they possessed, obtaining a few potions and one ether. Then, Hydra used the dagger to cut off some fur off them, which he knew was a good and instant cure against Silence. Finally, he stopped playing with them, and took out his other dagger.

The beasts attempted to get through Cairn's thick armor, clearly failing. The ones that realized it decided to attack Hydra, who simply evaded or parried the attacks as he saw fit. When he saw that Cairn had left some for him, Hydra tried to dispatch of the Fangs as fast as possible, leaving only the Alpha: he sticked one dagger in a Fang's throat, and the other dagger directly into the second Fang's head. Only the Alpha Fang remained, and Hydra took the chance to practice his reflexes: he closed his eyes and waited for the Alpha Fang to approach. Suddenly he opened his eyes and slashed the beast, dealing a minor cut in its chest, preventing the Alpha from attacking. Reflexes are sharp enough. He then threw some stones, dealing heavy damage to the monster. Aim is flawless. Alright, time to end this. With a single blow, he dispatched of it.

As soon as the back of wolves was dispatched, Cairn sighed, clearly disappointed to see it was over so soon. He smirked, cleaning the blade of his sword with his black cape, and then sheathing it, placing it on his back. As he gazed on the monsters they've slew, Cairn could not avoid the excitement he felt since it was the first time he took part in a competition of this kind. "Not bad at all, good to have you on my team....anyways, let's keep going" Cairn addressed to Hydra respectfully, praising him for his abilities. The knight set his eyes on a hill at the end of a dusty road. Several signs were posted nearby, one of them leading to some sort of "forest" located to the north, not so far from their current position. Shortly after Cairn had arrived the base of the hill, he heard a deep growl from above. Quickly he grasped the hilt of his sword with both hands and unsheathed it. He then brought his eyes towards the sky to discover his enemy. It was a gigantic Garuda, more fearsome than the one depicted on the Monster List Board at the entrance of the Hunting Grounds. This Garuda had sharp, steel like talons, strong wings with thick skin and feathers, big jaws and small triangle shaped eyes set on its prey.

Cairn laughed, confident enough on his skills, determined to bring this beast down. The Garuda hovered in mid air, awaiting for Cairn's actions. Coincidently, Cairn did the same, his eyes fixed on the monster's yellowish orange eyes. Suddenly, the Garuda flew high and came rushing down towards Cairn, jaws and talons ready to reduce anything to shreds. The beast came down and his claws missed Cairn's shoulders by mere inches, for Cairn had ducked down to avoid it. As the Garuda flew inches above him, Cairn brought his sword up, smacking it with the dull surface of his blade, hammering it against the ground. The Garuda rose from the ground, and then flew back to the sky, opening jaws wide and then exhaling a burst of fire towards Cairn. Cairn eluded the gust of flames by mere inches with a side roll. He remained with his right knee on the ground and his left foot on the ground, his left leg formed an angle of 45 degrees. Cairn inhaled and exhaled a mouthful of air, then he smiled confidently and rose back on his feet, standing straight before the menacing beast. Cairn held his sword with his right hand while he made a challenging sign with his left hand. Left arm straight aimed to the beast, his hand opened and closed a few times as if Cairn were defying the beast to return. "Bring it on!" Cairn then brought his left hand to his neck and slightly passed one of his fingers horizontally from right to left. "This ends now..."

Determined to win, Cairn grasped the hilt of his sword with both hands and held it in a diagonal position, right before his chest. He did not knew if Hydra had caught up with him, nor if he had stayed were they first encountered the pack of wolves.

OOC: I think it's a good idea if all of us keep our individual points marked, since it will be easy to keep track and to choose a winner.:)

Jimmy lost track of Mizu, he rushed forward to enter in a dense zone of the forest, he was completely surrounded by trees and could not even see the sky above...

"It's a good thing i marked the trees or else i would be completely lost."

Moving slowly, he started to hear some sort of scream, it was a deep primal scream, and it was getting closer, and closer..."BANG"

Jimmy felt something hit him in the back which sent him head first against a tree, slowly he got back up only to get hit with a punch to the stomach, he was then caught in a bear hug and felt all of his bones being pressed hard. He looked down to meet his agressor, it was a medium size big muscular green monster, a Wendigo. It pressed Jimmy harder and harder, if it kept up his bones would end up crushed. Luckily one of his hands was free, trying to put his mind away from the pain Jimmy focused his hand began to tremble he touched the Wendigo with it.

"Th...thundara!!!"

The charge of electricity hit the Wendigo right in his chest projecting him back. But it was not over yet, Jimmy hardly had any time to rest as the Wendigo got back up and seemed more angry then ever.
 
*Necro Cloud woke up, and grabbed for where his swords were. Unfortuanetly, his swords were not there and all he grabbed was the air. He looked over to see his swords not there, and immediatly stood up... He then used shunpo looking everywhere for them, or for the thing that took them... He finally found a bluish, see-through, slimy creature with his katanas in his body... He said to the monster......* Give me back my swords, or die! *The flan only gurgled.... So Necro Cloud immediatly put his hand straight out in front of him, and strengthened his riatsu... He said...* Hado #9, Shot of Red Fire... *Immediatly after he said that a fireball sort of thing formed in fron of his hand and shot at the Blue Flan, exploding in it's face... The flan only shook it off and tried to stab Necro Cloud, but he just jumped out of the way and put his hand out in front of him like before and said.....* Hado #33, Blue Fire, Crash Down.... *Immediatly after that, a blue blast came from Necro Cloud's extended hand and hit the flan, blasting off one of it's arms... The blue flan seeped into the ground and came back up behind Necro Cloud... It then whipped Necro Cloud in the back sending him forward about 10 feet... He got up, and said to himself...* This is going to take one of my strongest kidos, but first I will need to restrain him... *Necro Cloud pointed at the flan and said....* Bakudo #61, Six Rods Prison of Light.... *Six thin but wide rods made of light slamed into the flan's midsection, holding him still without letting him move.... He then summons up alot of spiritual pressure, and concentrates holding out his hand in front of him... He then says....* Hado #63, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down.... *This time two shots of "Blue Fire, Crash Down" (but way stronger) came out of his hand, and completely obliterated the Blue Flan. He then went over and picked up his two katanas, and put them on his back.... He then said....* Good thing that I didn't have to bring out my strongest kido, because I didn't want to have to show it to everybody yet... I want it to be a surprise when I bring it out.... Well I guess that brings me up to.....

The hovering Garuda came down for another attempt to attack Cairn with its fearsome talons. Cairn awaited patiently, holding his sword with both hands and lifted above his left shoulder, in an horizontal position with the tip of the sword clearly aiming at the Garuda. The Garuda kept its relentless pursuit, rushing toward Cairn at a blinding speed. Soon the Garuda opened its jaws and claws to grasp Cairn. Seconds before being attacked, Cairn stepped back, brought his sword down to his left below his waist, and then swung his sword upwardly , slashing through the beast's belly and splitting it in halves. The Garuda fell dead, the life had already extinguished from its eyes. Cairn smirked, and walked towards the Garuda, sword held by his right hand. He knelt near the Garuda and retrieved some bones and skin, which he could use later on. Finally he rose back to his feet, setting his eyes on the hill before him.



Cairn: 140 Points. 3 Fangs, 1 Garuda.
 
The battle between Jimmy and the furious Wendigo continued...

"You wanna play physical eh!? Well that's my specialty son i'm gonna give you a lesson on ass whooping!!!"

With another primordial scream the Wendigo launched himself against Jimmy, he tried to hit a frontal punch but Jimmy ducked and hit a punch of his own on the Wendigo's stomach, followed by an uppercut, which knocked the Wendigo to the ground.

Jimmy sat on the ground to rest for a bit, thinking that the Wendigo was done for, but all of the sudden the Wendigo got back up, Jimmy was surprised to see how resistent the monster was.

The wendigo jumped into one of the trees surrounding them, he started to jump from tree to tree moving very fast, it was hard to keep up with his motions, using all of his senses Jimmy was able to punch a tree jump when the Wendigo was jumping to it, the tree crashed down and the Wendigo fell with it, taking his chance Jimmy rushed behind the Wendigo and lifted him up in the air, he jumped into the air with the Wendigo still in his arms, and delivered a piledriver to the ground, killing the beast.

"Pheww...i can't believe i had to use Meteor Strike on this overgrown monkey."

*Necro Cloud was searching the mountain region for a partner when he noticed a dead Geruda and Caim standing right next to it... He also noticed Hydra with him, which was an advantage to him since there was a monster that required 3 people to fight it... He was about to go to him when 2 fangs attacked him from behind... He quickly dodge the attack, but he did not fight with his swords this time... He did an upper cut kick sending the fang into the air, and jumped up to it's level... He then did a whole bunch of strong downward and upward kicks on the fang's stomach and middle back area... After about 7 kicks, Necro Cloud then took out one of his swords and did a strong downward slash into the fang's stomach making both of them rocket down with Necro Cloud still giving alot of force into the fang's stomach with his sword until they landed cutting the fang in half... The next one was not as complicated... Necro Cloud put his swords in an X formation and used getsuga tensho, obliterating it in seconds... He put away his swords and used shunp, landing in front of Caim right before he was going to leave.... He then said.....* I need a partner or 2 to fight boss level monsters.... Do you guys want to team up with me to defeat them?....

Necro Cloud's Points: 590 points.

As soon as he reached the top of the hill, Cairn could see that before him lied the entrance of a cave. To his right he could see that not far for him lied a forest where some of the participants were sent. Seeing that he could expect anything to come out of that cave, Cairn grasped the hilt of his sword with both hands and slowly walked towards the entrance. Accidentally, he kicked a small pebble which was sent straight into the cave. The pebble could be hear crashing against several walls, the sound echoed for a few moments. Suddenly, a deep growl could be heard coming from deep within the cave, and a fiery light could be seen approaching quickly. Cairn's eyes widened seeing the burst of flames coming straight at him. Without hesitation, he rolled to the right, evading the flames by mere inches. He soon rose from the ground and stood firmly before the cave.

Soon after, Cairn heard gigantic steps, slowly sounding louder and louder until he finally noticed two, bright reddish eyes enshrouded by the pitch blackness of the cave. Moments later, a monstrous beast with long neck, giant wings, sharp talons and a thick hide emerged from the blackness. It was a Red Dragon, with its eyes fixed on Cairn.

Suddenly, Cairn heard his name, having not noticed the source of the voice. He stepped away from the beast and turned to see who it was, noticing a young warrior. Quickly, he returned his eyes to the beast, not wanting to let it escape.

"Give me a few seconds, I have to deal with this thing!" Cairn said in response to the previous offer to team against one of the nearby "boss" monsters.

*Necro Cloud decided to battle a monster while waiting for his response... So, he only went a few feet when a Garula jumped him in the darkness... He said...* Oooo... This is gonna be fun...
*Necro Cloud took out his katanas and prepared to fight it... He then started with shunpo getsuga tensho... It is where he would use shunpo circling it so fast that all you would see is his after image, and while doing that he would use multiple getsuga tensho from each angle completly rendering the monster incapable of moving... After he stopped, he waited for the dust to clear... The Garula had almost no scratches, so Necro Cloud would have to step it up... He put his hand in front of his face, and moved it across his face while a hollow mask appeared... He knew that the mask would multiply his powers by at least ten, but it would only last for so long... So he decided to pull out some of the stops, he still didn't want to show his full power... So he did another shunpo surrounding the Garula, but this time he was so fast that he could not be seen... He then proceeded to slashing him while still using shunpo, giving him slashes all over... The beast still did not look very tired, so Necro Cloud decided to use one of his major getsuga tenshos on the monster, but the monster evaded it and smacked Necro Cloud sending him into the wall... Necro Cloud shook it off, and decided to do something he had never attempted before... He used the same shunpo technique he had been using so far but this time he used a kido with it....* Hado #63, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down... *Necro Cloud used it more than once though, so it was like a barrage of major blasts... Finally the smoke cleared and the monster was about to die... Necro Cloud then used shunpo and did a stab to it's heart... The Garula fell and died... After that, Necro Cloud fell from exhaustion but he caught himself with his swords... He got back up and the mask shattered... He suddenly got enough power to walk fine and stand... He said....* Huh, must of gotten alot of my power back from the mask breaking.... Well I better head back to him.... *He then headed back to where Caim was, and thought to himself...* Well my points now equal.....

Necro Cloud's Points: 970 points.

Cairn was caught in a bloody war against the Red Dragon, having being worn out a little because he was forced to elude most of the dragon's attacks to avoid being fatally wounded. As he dodged the dragons massive jaws with a quick side step to the right, Cairn sprinted towards the dragon, jumped evading the dragon's tale which was aimed to his legs, and then he came down, slashing down one of the horns of the mighty dragon. The dragon was thus enraged, bringing down its powerful right claw against Cairn. Cairn brought his blade before his body to block the dragon's sharp claws, but was pushed backwards due to the force of the attack. Surprised, Cairn smirked as he saw he had a good challenge before him.

The dragon, highly irritated by Cairn, inhaled a mouthful of air and fiercely exhaled a gust of flames towards Cairn. Cairn moved to the left, evading the flames and then he swung his sword towards the fire. The orb attached to his sword soon began to glow with a fiery red light, having absorbed the elemental power of fire. Still, he knew fire based spells would be little effective on the dragon, but it was good to have the fire element stored for future usage.

During a few seconds, Cairn and the dragon remained still, staring at each other's eyes, challenging one another. The dragon roared fearsomely as Cairn gave a loud battle cry, charging towards the dragon. The dragon charged against Cairn as well, both opposing forces meant to crash resulting in an explosive encounter. In the mids of battle, Cairn eluded the dragon's attacks, endured a few scratches, and countered the dragons offensive with a few of his own moves. Moments later, both were quite worn down. The battle was soon brought to one final duel. Cairn charged towards the dragon as the beast inhaled a large amount of air. Menacingly, the dragon exhaled a large burst of flames. Cairn jumped high, evading the flames as they scorched the ground below him. The dragon, still exhaling flames, noticed with astonishment how Cairn was rushing down threateningly. Cairn soon brought his sword down with a bone shattering force, lunging his blade to the dragon's head, piercing its skull violently. Cairn released the hilt of his blade, the momentum was so great that it brought the dragon's head to the ground, Cairn landing just before the dragon. Cairn soon approached the dragon, pulling his sword out of the dragon's skull and then he sheathed his weapon. He searched the dragon, and managed to retrieve a few dragon scales, bones, and horns.

"Well, you're not half bad either"

Hydra said this while he still watched the corpse of the Alpha Fang. After a few minutes, he lifted his gaze, only to find out that Cairn wasn't there anymore. He was just a blurry bieng in the distance, walking towards a hill. Hydra walked at a slow pace, for either way he would catch up with Cairn. However, Hydra found his way blocked by some bluish creatures that fell in front of him: blue flans. Hydra tried to cut one of them in two with his daggers, and succeeded, but each halved turned into a new flan. Hydra saw that there wasn't any other way out of this one, and so murmured 'Пожар' while channeling his energy into the corresponding dagger. The blade grew red and its tip ignited.

"Heh, what do you think of this? You don't like fire to much, do you?"

Hydra then slashed one of the jellies, this time there were no halves that would regenerate, all that was left of it was a blue sludge. For the other two, he waved the dagger, pointed it towards them, and blew them up with a burst of flames.
Well, it wasn't hard after all.
Hydra then turned off the dagger: he didn't want anyone else to know of his abilities just yet. The took out one of the bottles with water and drank its contents, for he was thristy and needed of an empty bottle. He grabbed some of the blue sludge, which was a material that could heal burns. With this, Hydra set off toward Cairn, who was out of sight already. This time, he ran, and was by the base of the hill in no time. There he saw the Garuda's corpse, but he kept on running, eventually catching up with Cairn.

He didn't talk to Cairn, who still didn't seem to notice Hydra, so he simply stayed back to see where Cairn was heading. Suddenly, another warrior appeared, asking for company. Hydra didn't get the chance to answer, for a Red Dragon appeared in the nearby cave. Cairn fought it, disappearing into the cave. At the same time, the other warrior disappeared. Hydra was left there, and decided to wait for more monsters to appear of for any of the others to reappear.

Cairn took a deep breath, and then exhaled, a grim satisfaction could be seen on his face. The dragon laid dead at his feet, toppled by his mighty sword. A little exhausted, Cairn decided that he would require some rest, and that the cave that once belonged to the fearsome dragon would serve well as a camping spot. He assembled a strong tent with the equipment he had in the bag he brought. He thought that this would also be a good chance to craft some stuff with the components he found earlier. Cairn searched within his big leather bag for some components and tools like a small hammer and a knife.

Suddenly, he noticed Hydra appearing from the opposite side. By the time Hydra arrived, Cairn had a strong tent and a fire placed prepare for the coming night. The sun slowly set on the horizon, lights shining through the clouds creating the effects of red, yellow and purple pigments on the skies. Soon the day darkened, the night had just arrived and the skies were slowly illuminated by the stars and the moon.

*Necro Cloud, seeing as the battle was over, walked over to Caim and said....* Here my kido can heal your wounds... *Necro Cloud put his hand to Caim's wounds healing them immediatly.... He then said....* There you should be as good as when you came in here, maybe even better.... So, do you want to go fight those boss level monsters with me?...
 
Cairn was grateful to the man for healing his wounds, and agreed to assist him against one of the nearby stronger monsters. Still, night had arrived and their visibility would be greatly reduced, reasons why Cairn thought not to be prudent to attack now. Cairn remained sitting next to the fireplace, staring a the flames. "Are you sure you want to fight the boss now during the night? I think it would be advisable to first device a good strategy." Cairn said to Necro Cloud as he searched his back bag for some small cauldrons to cook some dragon meat stew. "Besides, I am kind of hungry after taking down that dragon. I wonder how good dragon meat will taste..." Cairn takes some water from a a small bottle he had and filled the cauldron. Then he added spices and ingredients he had brought with him. Finally, he cut the dragon meat in chops and tossed them into the cauldron. A pleasant smell filled the air, Cairn was eager to have a taste of the stew he was preparing. "Would you like to have some dragon stew? There's enough for you, Hydra and myself." Cairn said addressing to Necro Cloud.

"Nice tent you got the..."

Hydra was interrupted by the other warrior that was there, but listened to his request carefully.

"Well, if you need someone to team up, I'd like to join, however the decision shall be quick: before I leave to continue hunting"

Hydra then rested his back against a wall of the cave, expecting for an answer, which came almost immidiately. However, Cairns decision didn't please him too much, for night was Hydra's best part of the day, and it greatly enhanced his abilities. Seeing that the food would take a while, he decided to go out and hunt for a little. Just nearby,
Hydra found some monster that he hadn't seen before, or maybe not... After a close look, Hydra saw that it was another Garuda, which was searching for food, and had just seen Hydra. Hah, try me while I'm blended with the night. Hydra used Stealth and disappeared from sight. The garuda lost track on Hydra, but lowered to see if he was nearby: a perfect chance to strike. With one blow of his daggers the beast was knocked down to the floor. Hydra then finished it, and gathered some bones and meat from the corpse. Hydra returned to see how things were going, and offered the others a special beverage he had prepared just before entering the cave.

*Necro Cloud took the stew from Caim, and said....* Thank you for the stew... Yeah, I do think it better to rest and think up a strategy.... Plus, this is not going to be an easy battle.... I might even have to bring out my strongest kido.... Trust me, you do not want to be in range of this kido, it is the strongest kido known to all shinigami.... But yeah, we should think up a strategy.... Oh, and don't worry Hydra, you are with us.... I wouldn't break up you guys.... And the more the help the better....
 
Cairn had enjoyed a good amount of stew, satisfying his hunger. He exhaled, leaning his back against one of the walls of the cave. "I am full....ok, just a few minutes rest and then I am ready. You guys go on if you wish, I'll catch up." Cairn said after listening to both Hydra and Necro Cloud. The warm stew served to replenish Cairn's strength, so soon he would be ready for another major brawl.

OOC: I'm sorry Julius, it seems that I have been spelling your name wrong... I'll spell it right from now on...

I'll go scout out the cave.... You guys wait here, unless you want to come with me because it's best that we not get seperated... *Necro Cloud picked up his katanas and headed deeper into the cave... So that he would not get lost, Necro Cloud cut an X into the wall every few feet with his swords... He found a giant door with markings on it... He tried pushing it open, but to no avail.... So he put his swords in an X formation and used getsuga tensho, destroying the doors.... What he saw, he would never believe... It seems as though their was a gigantic dungeon in this cave... There was a plaque sort of thing on the wall next to the broken doors... It said...* "All who enter will not leave, for at the end of the dungeon their is a monster so strong that it had to be sealed away. This monster is reffered to as the Zordiac, and is the strongest monster alive. Be warned, if you enter this room you will not leave..." *Necro Cloud went back to others and said....* You will never believe what is at the end of this cave... There is a dungeon, and at the end of the dungeon is the strongest monster in this hunt the Zordiac... Should we go for it, or come back later?...

Curious to explore the cave Cairn, picked up his equipment and decided to follow Hydra and Necro Cloud. Even though he was leaving, Cairn though it would be best not to extinguish the fire he started due to the fact that the cave was quite dark. Instead he picked one of the logs he used for the fire place and using it as a torch, he went deeper into the cave. Eventually, Cairn had caught up with Necro Cloud and Hydra, who were standing before some sort of tunnel leading to a mysterious path.

"If you think about taking on Zodiark, it would be best to prepare ourselves. I think we should kill a few weaker bosses first. I am sure we will some in this huge cave."

Hydra believed it was the second option the true one.
Of course I cannot know for sure, and most probably the dungeon is full of traps, but... whatever...
Hydra decided to wait before proceeding with any further actions.

"Well, as any dungeon there are always 'Sub-Bosses' before the final one, right? But still, we might not be prepared"
