FF1 for PSP

My FF1 for the PSP is imported from the USA...

Having looked at my official UK games, they all have a shiny hologram on the back of them. FF1 (from the USA) doesn't have a shiny hologram. It does have instructions + insert though, and obviously the game UMD which looks exactly the same as the genuine ones i bought.

Any chance it's fake? Or do Sony not put shiny holograms on USA PSP games??

I would think that a holographic sticker indicates authenticity.

well mine doesnt got one i dont think so im pretty sure its not fake so i think u should be ok but just to make sure where exactly is the hologram? On the cover or the UMD? message me if i dont reply here might not for awhile cause i dont get my comp for a bit

the holograms are normally on the back of the case, not on the UMD themselves.

only if ur a fan of better graphics new dungeon sand a new presentation and it has the same calssic story (off the back of the case kinda )

yeah its real good, especially for such an old game! they've redone everything in terms of sprites etc and it looks gorgeous on the PSP screen in 16:9 ratio. The graphics are just beautiful to look at. Sometimes i just stare at them ( i know, it sounds sad). I'm up to Marsh Cave, im training up alot. I haven't played it much as i'm playing Crisis Core (in Japanese).

But yeah, if you can pick it up at a decent price, you should.

cool thanks for the advise the only reason i didn't get it was i never played the original FFI and i was worried that it would have a shit storyline

Well, the storyline is solid, it's just kinda shallow. But hey, considering it's the first, what's to be expected? Anyways I bought it for PSP and I must agree, the graphics are INCREDIBLE!!! The environments, the weapons, the magic effects, the enemies, EVERYTHING! For a sprite-based game it looks better than some 3D games I've seen. I would most definitely recommend it for PSP. I got it the day it came out and it's what got me into the whole Final Fantasy thing.


And as for your concerns about it being fake, I wouldn't worry about it. the UMD is a proprietary format (meaning that Sony has the only blanks and the only equipment necessary to burn them) so you can be guaranteed of its authenticity.

I always have a tough time finding where im suppose to go next. its a tough game for me and i had to check guides some of the times. other then that its a fun game.

This is true, it can be confusing at times. However it is still very fun.
