Hey everybody!

I'm looking for both a price check and the determination of authenticity.

I found a really sweet deal on Final Fantasy VII, the Black Label version, still sealed, for an extremely cheap price.
So I decided to go for it before somebody else did. But I'm new to the "buying new" stuff, so I'm wondering if this is an authentic one or not.

It doesn't appear to have the "Y" Seam folds, but rather shrinkwrapped like I have seen with more modern games.

Here is a picture.

What do you think?
What's it worth, and is it a fake?
Did they ever print the game with that covering?

Thanks so much!

I'd say it's highly unlike, a probable chance of 0.0001% of actually finding any game older than 5 yars old, still legitimately sealed in original plastic. VII moreso, because that game goes for a hefty bundle on it's own, and pople always try to pay more for sealed games. So of any game, that has the best chance of being resealed to make a profit. An people won't know to check the inside/disk condition because they don't want to unseal it.

Don't know if it's the way you took the picture or not, but the wrap does seem to have, well been re-wraped as you said. However the front cover for it, is the real deal. Though I have the greatest hit's version so the side of mine is green. Depending how much the guy wants for it, I say go for it, But don't pay anymore then $40 for the game.

I think an original would have the fold on the plastic instead of the shrink wrap. But I do remember the white tags being at the top of the game, like your copy, and I do remember the silver tape. I think it may just be a great condition copy repackaged. The shrink wrap is just too suspicious.

There's scratches and the wrapping is all wrong. I bought my VII copy new and this isn't new. I wouldn't waste money on it, if I were you. :/
