I would put this in the Twitter Feed thread, but it could be slightly more significant to some people.

Square Enix is known to lay down pretty big bombshells on Twitter nowadays, and today is no different. After this morning’s Nintendo 3DS Conference, [a Japanese event where Nintendo formally unveiled 3DS details such as price, release, and available titles] where we got a small look at Chocobo Racing 3DS, Square Enix producer Hajime Tabata, director of the extremely popular Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core for the PSP, updated Twitter with his consideration for a good title for the Nintendo 3DS.

“If I were to do something on 3DS, it’d be a Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII remake I guess, completely changing the scenario composition and game design for the 3DS, if it were an action RPG BCFF7 that lots of Turk players could simultaneously play at a dizzying pace, wait a second this work is not an official announcement of course.”

Sounds interesting. I'm a big fan of the 3DS' hardware concepts, but so far I have been pretty questionable of the software offerings for the 3DS.

o; OMG FINALLY... well.. at least finally some hint to something good towards BC getting localized. And it's about freaking time it did too. I'm glad though that if they did, it'd be for the 3DS.

Hmm, I'd play this, I guess. Seems interesting. Wish it wasn't BC but whatever.

I would actually buy this since it will not be on phone but a remake on 3DS. Always wanted to play as the turks and I know it follows Cissnei alot. I think you get to name her in BC FF VII.

This doesn't sound half-bad. I didn't really get to enjoy the original version, so a 3DS version doesn't sound that bad. The 3DS's price tag, however....:sad3:

What?

You're contemplating on the idea of having it on the 3DS instead of the WiiWare where you can overcharge buyers with ludicrous amounts of points for each chapter? I am shocked. :gasp:

(Although I can't imagine anything with "FFVII" in its name touching a Nintendo machine of course. :wacky:)

I guess I'll buy it when it goes on offer like I did with Crisis Core and Advent Children Complete, cause I really can't see me rushing to stores on its release date, but I can't see me saying no to a cheap offer, so all seems good.

that would be epic if the original ff7 would be on the dsi 3d :D they should make it official
they should go for it btw NEW FACE I JUST MADE UP: `~`

Sweet. If this is true, I'm definitely going to have to invest in a 3DS. Here's to hoping they make FFIV: TaY on the DS/3DS too (I highly doubt it though). That would make me one happy fool!

Eh, I would've been fine with a DS-port with some remake touch up likes Re:Coded has going for it, but the 3DS so far promises some heavy duty gameplay ability, so I'd look into grabbing it. Maybe not pre-order it (unless there's a pre-order bonus) but I'd grab it when I get the money.

Although how much are 3DS games gonna start retailing at?

My only interest with BC is about the other Turks we know nothing about and a plot device that involves Rufus ordering the Turks to
kill his father
:wacky:

Thanks fer posting Mit, i saw the news when nobody posted it here ,but i was too lazy to post it, so thanks ! As fer the game , i wanted it to be release on the psp,but i guess they decided that the 3ds was better ! Awwww , sigh man ! sigh !

wow, SE riding on the back of another lame gimmick, what a shock.

The actual handheld, or the game itself? Neither of which are "lame".

I'm far from a Final Fantasy VII fan myself and I wouldn't purchase it, but fans have been asking to bring Before Crisis to the West for some time now. As for the Nintendo 3DS, far, far from a gimmick. I won't get it, a) because I don't have £190 spare and b) I don't don't need one but Nintendo DOMINATE the handheld and casual market so it will sell in the masses, especially when the price starts to decrease.
