FF Picture?

Somebody on this forum posted a Final Fantasy 1 art - very old and very not anime'ish.

It showed WoL standing next to the sleeping elf king.

I'm searching for it. Will you help?

I think that this is the one you mean.

It's a very old D and D style drawing of the warriors of light standing over the sleeping Elf prince.

I can't remember / am not sure if I ever knew who drew it though.

Okay, that artwork is really weird.
What's it from?

It's apparently one of the really old illustrations for FF1. It's peculiar as most FF artwork looks nothing like that, and it all looks very western. That said the first FF drew heavily from things such as D and D so the image wouldn't have been surprising on its own if it wasn't for the FF series as a whole, and the art we associate with it.

I think there are a few other pictures of a similar style for the first three FF games.

As amazing and perfect for the series as Amano is, it is quite interesting to see a different take on official FF artwork like this I've seen this before and was wondering who the artist was too. And D & D style sounds about right, I was thinking it sort of looks like something that would be in an older publication of LOTR or The Hobbit or something as well xD
