A lot of the S-E Re-Issues go on sale this week, so if you're gonna invest now is the time!
 
I noticed on the S-E store there are now a bunch of FF14 Vinyls for Pre-Order:

Seems to cover all the DLC Expansions apart from the upcoming one.

Just ran through the tracklisting - A really good selection! I found Final Fantasy VIII's Vinyl Release was missing a lot of key tracks but I feel they really nailed it with this one!

I would have personally aded Luca's theme instead of Phantoms & say they could have added a track after all the battle tracks on Side D but overall very solid!

There appears to be quite a range in styles on this album as well. I mean...



I didn't know the world needed a Barbershop Quartet rendition of the chocobo theme until now.


But then we get rock opera renditions of Beatrix's theme too:


So far though, I think this one is truly stunning:

I'll have to try and listen to some more.

Another project that is worth following is Chocobo Band. They have been producing a number of albums filled with rocky Final Fantasy covers lately.

For me, it's the FFX soundtrack all the way. I'm comfortable enough to admit that this soundtrack can move me to tears. It brings so much back, including nostalgia, hope, feelings of failure, and much more. Having 'To Zanarkand' playing as I write this out, I think I might lose myself in the OST tonight. Regardless of which game's soundtrack is your favourite, I hope I'm right in saying that their musical scores are one of the reasons that the Final Fantasy series transcends 'just' gaming, and really are pieces of art in and of themselves.

Oh I enjoy FFX's OST too, one of my favourite tracks is the very tranquil beat that plays in the Rins Travel Agency - I have this in a relaxing custom FF CD I made for my kitchen to when I'm just pottering around:

Another interesting FFX track is from Distant Worlds II:
I'd never heard the English lyrics prior to this performance - It's also a great rendition of the track too!
 
S-E is release a new 4-Part Vinyl Boxset based on Final Fantasy themes called Heroes & Villians - It features the art used in Dissidia, I am not sure the tracks are from the original games or various Dissidia versions. They're £29.99 Each for 110.99 for the full set.:
