FF Encyclopedia???

Hey, guys!

It's my bf's birthday soon and he wants me to get him an encyclopedia on the comic book universe to do with Spiderman, you know like bios on all the characters, stories etc. Pretty heafty piece of stuff. However! I know he likes final fantasy more and would love a similar one to do with FF!

Anyone know of any?? I've looked all over but can only find books to do with individual FF games and the movies. I'm looking for a general 'encyclopedia' on FF, all the characters etc.

I saw something on ebay once, can't say it was an encyclopedia and I'm pretty sure it was only to do with FFVII and it was all in Japanese....... it looked realy nifty though and hd some epic pictures.

You might just want to try there and see what you come up with?
 
will have to keep my eyes out on there see if anything comes up... can't seem to find anything through google either :eek:[ x
 
no no, thanks, but it's a book I'm after - for a gift. Not a walkthrough or anything like that, but literally just a guide to the final fantasy universe. Who's who, where's where. Seen them for all sorts like pokemon, star trek, comic books, just would have though with FF being so huge, it would have something similar in the real world :eek:[
 
Why not buy him the strategy guides for the games? Or are you looking for something more compressed?

Bare in mind you have a rather large number of titles to fit into that. It'd be difficult to find an official one, given that the series hasn't come to an end yet - it'd be out of date every time an addition to a series came along. Look at the VII compilation ... half of what we learned in the original is now obsolete. xD
 
This is true - he has the walkthrough strategy guides: guess I'm looking for something superfluous to the universe, huh?
 
I don't think you're going to find a bio book on characters as in-depth as you're describing unless you get the Ultimania's which are in Japanese only.

I think that's what I was thinking of....I'd like one myself, just for the pictures xD
 
The Ultimania Omega guides and Reunion Files are the only things like that aside from the strategy guides.

Go with the UO Guides as they have some excellent artwork and screenshots and are collectible even though they are totally in Japanese.
