Afternoon Folks,

Sitting here with my wussy salad from chick-a-filet on my lunch break, and read a few things I thought I needed to confront:

As most of you know I've been super busy. I've kept it silent, but now it's public news that I'll be working on an international project for Brazil at my job.

I'm going to be the main tester on the account and will be heavily bogged down in the next two months. We hired Tia to be a permanent admin for both Mits and I while we are busy in our real life's right now. I still thank her two folds. I've been busy since May of 12, thanks to the opportunities my work has given me. Though my time on here is limited to lunch breaks, and occasional Howdy, and sometimes I'll pop on at night to see how everyone is.

Why am I saying this, or why should you care? Well for one I don't want to leave for a week or more and come back to a community where people are not welcoming anymore to strangers or new people or even vets. Also intervening when I'm never around, seems like a sure way to piss a few of you off. So I want to break it down and say... Please be courteous to the new people on the forums and those trying new avenues on the site.

If a person who is quite new to GFX, Writing RPGS, Writing Stories, looks like they need some constructive criticism.. I don't mind this. Though be nurturing about it. If means you have to stop being a b*tch or even being a d*ck for just a moment, it does not mean you are less of man/woman for doing so. If you don't have it in you, then please... from a me to you, not as an admin to you... shut your mouth and bottle that angst up. This is not 4chan. This is not Reddit. This is Final Fantasy Forums.

You have plenty of other sites to be a flagrantly rude on. This is not one of them. I'm personally asking this. For those that feel victimized in any sort of way, please see our staff. We will handle it anonymously but deal with this behavior if it's repetitive. We understand that there is some animosity between a few of you, but please don't direct that to someone who is really trying to try something out. Otherwise Big Daddy Shu, might have to implant a foot up your bum.. and everyone knows I hate... HATE giving infractions if I don't have to.

I digress. I love you folks and just so you know you are a part of my family. Even as virtual as this is, I feel like I know most of you like you were a good drinking buddy, or a little lady to bring out the good moods in folks.

I'll be around Lew-dawg, I'm just reiterating a few things I've seen. It's not about faith. It's about knowing the line that people tow on a day to day basis for a joke or two. That's going to happen, it's realism. Just be courteous yo, and all will be cool. It has nothing to do with being an adult either. Hence I won't treat anyone like a child on here for stupid misunderstandings .

Your acting and sounding like everyone is on fff is being an utter cunt and because you have some big job things are gunna go crazy. Being an adult has a whole lot to do with it. When you grow the hell up you realise that calling people out and being a general dickhead and keyboard warrior is stupid and makes you like a knob. Besides just cuz your not gunna be as active that doesnt mean that other mods and admins are gunna just stop doing the job of keeping members in check. And maybe, just maybe, if you want people to be courteous you should make your opening post just a little bit nicer and show a little bit of respect

I don't think that was the direction Tyler was going for. A lot of slips happen here from time to time, and I guess when you're not around much but do care about the community you wanna show that by saying you still care, and make people a little aware of what might go on as 'normal', think twice before you say something kinda deal.

That's how I took it anyway. I don't think there's anything wrong with a friendly reminder, and if you're on a good track, don't worry. =]

Oh Shu. You've not been active for ages lately and things haven't fallen, crashed and burned and exploded without you. There was one tiny incident yesterday where someone was a douche to someone about graphics and that's really the only bad thing that's happened in a loooooong time.
I think you need a little more faith

I had no idea that saying where I've been, and where I'll be and reiterating my previous sentiments of .. "Be cool, I'll be seeing you", had anything to do with talking down to you condescendingly. If I make any of you feel like a child aside from Lew, please say so. I apologize if that's what I sound like. Sorry about that Lew, sorry if there is an error with my communication.

I have seen no residual impact with me being here or not. In fact I've seen the most positive events happening when I've been less active. From Cid and Judy doing the quizes and clubs and among other things keeping things legit and friendly, to the rest of the staff busting arse to get the Chocobo event, the Survivor, the Birthweek stuff all together. This site has changed for the better.

The community has been a lot well receiving of newer people. When GFX competitions, writing competitions, club competitions start up, we all can't be winners. Be a good sport, if you see someone needing help.. how about suggest something. Not everyone can be the best of course, though if someone is seriously intrigued why take the winds out of their sails. I suck at that crap, and I would rather not waste my time in something that doesn't quite intrigue me.

Hang in there, man. My life is pretty much a barrel of monkeys right now and I know how it is when everything catches up at once and you have to prioritize things so you can just eek on. I'm definitely not saying this place is a low priority for anyone, it's just never the first one when you get buried in life's stuff it throws at you
