Yeah the title pretty much sums it up lol - who is your favourite FF couple of all time and why?? I voted for CLoud and Aeris obviously :D
 
I like Cloud and Tifa as a couple the best. I like all the other FF main couples like Tidus and Yuna, but Cloud and Tifa take the developmental cake for me. What touches me about their relationship is that they both are so shy about their feelings, and, without initially realizing it, that they both liked eachother during childhood. And Cloud doing all that pining for one girl... *sigh* Cloud just puts Tifa on this huge pedestal compared to the rest of AVALANCHE... same for Tifa. They just really touch me. :cry2: Truest soul mates I've ever seen in any kind of game or media, IMO.
 
I don't remember all that Cloud and Tifa stuff from FFVII. I never really gotten the sense that there was some sort of romance going on between the two. Well maybe from Tifa's side but never really from Cloud's side. It was always like "I'm watching out for you" or "I'll be there when you need me most" kinda stuff. More so between best friends because. I say this because it seems that Tifa really wanted to express her wanting to help Cloud but Cloud's mind is on something else. Like the man is totally oblivious to Tifa's feelings. Yet how Tifa is protrayed, you don't really got the sense that Tifa is making advances on Cloud. Even in Advent, I didn't sense any sort of advancement from either character for either character. Yea we know Tifa cares a lot about Cloud but Cloud is Sephiroth this, Sephiroth that. When I think of Tifa's feelings for Cloud, "care-taker" pops up and "best friends" also.

Their relationship wasn't as dramatic as Squall or Rinoa where Squall was freaking out when Rinoa was in some sort of coma.

I really loved the Locke and Celes thing. Locke's background story was tragic and how he tries not to make the same mistake with Celes as he did with Rachel. Their love for each other really developed gradually throughout the game.
 
I'm not a het supporter, but I allways did like the Aerith and Zack relationship ^_^ Because it was first love and all and they do really seem to suit eachother in personality =D Cloud with Aerith never layed very well with me...
 
I have always preferring the CloudxAerith pairing. I think the two compliment one another very well. Before Aerith died, I actually noticed how Cloud was alot more comfortable around her compared to the others. I mean when they were running from the Turks and Aerith was trying to chase him up those boulders and the like, it was so cute because he said "I though you were cut out to be in SOLDIER" and then they both shared a laugh together. That moment really stood out in my mind. Cloud and Aerith always take the cake for me. What they had and still have was beautiful. Cloud is cold and drawn in while Aerith is cheerful and bubbly. She brings out the soft side in him.
 
me, I said the penelo-Vaan, but, that may just be because I've been obsessed with that game for the past few months. But, CloudxTifa was a close second. The cloudxAeris never quite sat well with me either, I mean, whenever I watch/play a show/game with any sort of romance in it, I pine for one set(two people, multiple couples, but diff people) and I just steered towards Cloud an Tifa.

Oh, and on the Penelo Vaan thing, yeah, they really are a great couple though, Penelo just seems to fit with Vaan really well.
 
Aerith/Cloud. I haven't really seen much of the game their in, but I've liked from what I've heard.

I've heard alot of people say they hate Yuna/Tidus, because Tidus is so hyper-obnoxious, but I like that pairing.

I also prefer the Cloud-Aerith pairing :D. Just as Lady Aerith says, Aerith brings out Cloud's soft side. Besides, before her death, he had a "better" attitude. Well, Ive not seen anything alike, (at least in the ones ive played :P)
 
Well as i expected its close between CloudXAeris And CloudXTifa - but come on wheres the love for the minor romances?

Ironic that most of these couples could be debated about yet only wakka and lulu had a kid together.
 
i thought FFVIII was ok...but i really liked the interatcion between Squall and Rinoa...which made for a great ending
 
Squall & Rinoa isnt appreciated on this thread is it :( wel thats the cloud parings for ya - they always steal the spotlight lol i like squall and rinoa :D
 
ill tell you what i think the worst couple is, 100% its selphie and irvine! as if they would have got together! i hate irvine aswell.
 
Zidane and Garnet. They were a perfectly developed couple as both of them had deep plot on their own and their love story wasn't dominant in their respective plots. They each had to fully realize themselves before they could be together. Not to mention their reunion at the end was the definition of perfect.
 
Hmm, definitely Squall and Rinoa for me. =) Their story was cute, simple, (well not THAT simple), fun, and dramatic. Well basically, the whole package. I love how Squall doesn't really express his feelings for Rinoa (even though the players know what he's really thinking) and so she gets all aggressive and takes the initiative. Lol, I thought that was cute.
